Ahead of 2023, a top leading gubernatorial hopeful in the forthcoming general elections in Benue State under the Peoples' Democratic Party PDP, Hon. Terwase Orbunde this Thursday, March 31st, 2022 commissioned his campaign office in Ukum Local Government Area.

Performing the ceremony, Hon. Orbunde appreciated the Ukum chapter of Divine Mandate for Orbunde 2023 for their relentless efforts in making sure that, Orbunde clinches the Governorship seat.

Represented by a former Chairman of Ukum Local Government and Benue State ALGON Chairman, Hon. David Sevav, Chief Orbunde promised not to let them down in all political affairs during and after elections.

He reiterated his administration's commitment in ensuring that, Benue is taking to the next level if given the opportunity to govern as dividends of democracy shall prioritized.

Earlier in an opening remarks, coordinator of Divine Mandate for Orbunde 2023, Ukum chapter, Mr. Oraya Peter explained that, they have decided to pitch tent with Orbunde because of his wealth of experience having worked closely with the Governor and promise on behalf of his team to do more.

Reacting, the state coordinator of the divine mandate for Orbunde Hon. Shimataver lauded the team for taking the project upon themselves and promised to support them at all levels.

Speaking separately, a legal luminary, Barr. Emmanuel Adue Yange and Hon. Terhemen Ahur said that, the decision to rally round the intension of Chief Orbunde to govern the state is a divine decision to be accepted by all. The duo described Orbunde as someone who has the capability to excel in any leadership opportunity given him and urge Benue people to vote for him.

Highlight of the occasion was the inspection of the secretariat, installed banner flex, cutting of the ribbon 🎀 as a sign of the official commissioning while numerous others showered encomiums on the aspirant and prayed for the success of the project.

ORBUNDE APPRECIATES BENUE PDP LEADERS, FELLOW ASPIRANTS

Prominent Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, 2023 Governorship Aspirant in Benue State, Terwase Orbunde, has expressed appreciation to the leadership of the party for their efforts at providing direction on the governorship and other elective candidates.

He commended the leader of the party, Governor Samuel Ortom, State Working Committee members led by Sir John Ngbede, Senators Gabriel Suswam, Orker Jev and Abba Moro, National Assembly Caucus, the three zonal caucuses, local government party chairmen, their caucus members and other stakeholders, as well as G-14 and G-9 for their various roles in that regard.

The former Chief of Staff to the Governor, in a statement, stressed that major stakeholders of the party in the Benue South Senatorial District, Kwande, Ushongo, Vandeikya, and Konshisha local government areas deserve appreciation for the painstaking ranking of governorship aspirants in their areas for easier management of the process.

He congratulated his fellow aspirants for participating in the pruning exercise which threw up a few among them as coming first among equals in their District and respective local government areas maintaining that the system ultimately required that only one person emerge as Governor at the end of the day.

Orbunde appealed to all aspirants to reckon with human imperfections and accept the process in good faith in the overall interest of the party while reposing confidence in the leaders of the party to drive the process to the end.

He stated that human resources were required both in the process of becoming Governor and that of running government such that the quality manpower as found in the forum of aspirants remained useful in the present and the future pointing that in the circumstances there could be no victor nor vanquished.

Orbunde stated that the PDP should put its house in order quickly so as to focus on winning all elections in 2023.
