Deputy Governor of Benue State on Advocacy Visit to Government MDA’s - Visits Bureau of Entrepreneurship and Wealth Creation.
The Deputy Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Barr. Sam Ode mni, today paid an advocacy visit to the Bureau of Entrepreneurship and Wealth Creation (BEWC) as part of his ongoing engagement with various state agencies.
During his visit, the Deputy Governor met with top management officials of the Bureau to discuss its progress and initiatives.
The Director General of the BEWC Hon.Benita Shuluwa warmly welcomed the Deputy Governor. She appreciated the Deputy Governor and the Governor's lead administration for the continued support and interest in the Bureau's activities, which has been instrumental in its success.
This visit provided an opportunity for the Bureau to showcase and discuss its achievements which includes the recently completed Benue Agricbusiness Mechanization Centre and on-going Waste to Energy Project; while also discussing their challenges.
The Director General of the BEWC appreciated the Deputy Governor's visit, noting that it demonstrates his hands-on leadership skills, commitment to the Bureau's success and overall success of development in Benue State.
She expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and guidance received from the Governor and his Deputy thus far.
The Deputy Governor's visit to the BEWC reflects his steadfast dedication to ensuring the success of state agencies and promoting economic development in Benue State in line with the agenda of His Excellency Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

Town Hall Meeting on Federal Government Intervention Scheme for MSMEs.
A Town hall meeting held today May 2, 2025, at the Bureau of Entrepreneurship and Wealth Creation (BEWC) to discuss Presidential Grants and Loans for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The event aimed to educate entrepreneurs about available opportunities and provide a platform for them to access funding.
In his opening speech The Hon.Commissioner ministry of Industry trade and investment Hon. Manasseh Orpin appreciate his Excellency the Executive Governor of Benue State Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for his intervention programs
Key Highlights
-Presidential Grant and Loan Scheme: The Federal Government has allocated N75 billion for grants and loans to support over 75,000 MSMEs.

In her closing remark,
The Director-General of BEWC, Hon. Benita Shuluwa, expressed gratitude to the President and Vice President for the opportunity and thanked participants for their engagement. -The Beneficiaries of the Presidential loan scheme shared their experiences, highlighting the positive impact of the funding on their businesses.
*Challenges and Questions
-Photographers' Access to Loans: The Association of Photographers inquired about accessing loans, and were advised to visit the Bank of Industry office for guidance.
-Loan Criteria: The Yam Farmer's Association requested clarification on the criteria for collecting loans, while Thomas Yongo, representing the DJ Association, asked about individual loans for capital-intensive equipment.
The town hall meeting demonstrated the government's efforts to empower MSMEs and promote economic growth through accessible funding options.
