HON. AMANDE VISITS PRESIDENT TITO GROUP OF COMPANIES MAKURDI
The Honourable Commissioner for ICT and Digital Economy, Hon. Kwaghgba Amande today paid courtesy visit to the President Tito Group of Companies, Mr. Asiwaju Akinkumi at his office located at Kashim Ibrahim Road, Makurdi Benue State.
The visit was to identify with Mr. Akinkumi and commend him on his numerous contributions to Benue State and society at large.
The Honourable Commissioner also enjoined the the President Tito Group of Companies on the need to diversify from analogue to digital operations.
Responding on behalf of the management, Mr. Asiwaju Akinkumi appreciates the Honourable Commissioner for the visit and promised total corroboration with the ministry in the area of digital operations. He commended the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia on his speedy response in delivering dividends of democracy to Benue people.
Mr. Akinkumi also appealed to Federal Government for the construction of Makurdi Naka road so as to reduce the high rate of insecurity on the said highway.
The President also called on the state government to look into the issue of illegal checkpoints on the highways within the state to harness smooth operation of business activities in the state.
The Honourable Commissioner was accompanied by Director ICT, Mr. Emmanuel Gande and other staff of the ministry.

COMMISSIONER FOR ICT AND DIGITAL ECONOMY MEETS WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS IN BENUE STATE
The Honourable Commissioner for ICT and Digital Economy, Hon. Kwaghgba Amande today 16th November, 2023 had an interface with the representatives of Service Providers in Benue State.
The meeting which held at the conference room of Ministry of Science and Technology, had in attendance the representatives of Airtel, Globacom, MTN and 9Mobile respectively .
Hon. Amande in his address welcome the representatives of service providers in Benue and also seeks to know much more on issues/challenges bothering the smooth operation of telecom industries in the state.
In separate remarks, Emmanuel Adikwu (Globacom), Zacheous Abu (Airtel), Fibi Muhammad (9mobile) all commended the Honourable Commissioner for ICT and Digital Economy for creating an enabling environment for them to come and voice out their challenges.
The Telecom representatives pinpointed some of the few challenges affecting their operations to include illegal taxation as well as multiple activities of hudlums.
The Honourable Commissioner in his final address promised to collaborate with the appropriate authorities and agencies to look into the matter and put to an end to the challenges.
Also in attendance were the Director ICT, Mr. Gande Emmanuel, Mr. Agbo, Ogbo, Bula Ephraim, Mr. Goonoon Ephraim, Hon. Paul Damayali among others.

HON. AMANDE INTERACTS WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF MOBILE PHONE/ACCESSORIES REPAIRERS TITO GATE
The Honourable Commissioner for ICT and Digital Economy, Hon. Kwaghgba Amande today 13th November, 2023 interacted with the leadership of Mobile Phones/Accessories Repairers Tito Gate Branch at the Office of Director ICT, Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy, Benue State.
Addressing the group, Hon. Amande seeks to know issues and challenges hindering their smooth operations.
The Honourable Commissioner promised to build a coherent and central operational system in the entire state for all mobile accessories operators. He further explained that the central operation will help them to establish a cooperative society which through it, they can be able to assess government grants and loans to expand their businesses.
He mandated the Chairman, United Traders Association Tito branch to go out and coordinate other branches within 2 weeks and report back to the ministry.
Responding, the Chairman United Traders Association, Mr. Stanley Nwabuze thanked the Honourable Commissioner for taking out time to identify with them to know their challenges. According to Mr. Stanley, this is the first time that a government official has come to interact with them despite multiple taxation applied on them.
Mr. Stanley also appealed to the government to come to their aid especially in the area of employment as many of them over there are graduates of different fields and as well create an enabling business environment for them.
In separate remarks, the Director and Deputy Director, ICT, Mr. Gande and Pastor Odikpe Francis, David Yakugh all commended the Honourable Commissioner for the step taken, describing it as a good step in the right direction.
Others in attendance include, staff of the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy as well as officials of United Traders Association Tito Gate Branch, Makurdi Benue State.
