World Cultural Diversity Day, 2026
The Bureau for Arts, Culture, and Tourism, Makurdi, proudly commemorates World Cultural Diversity Day, 2026, under the unifying theme: Culture Connects Us All.
Our diverse traditions, languages, and arts are the living threads that weave our communities together — nurturing unity, advancing dialogue, promoting peaceful coexistence, and fuelling the creative economy that drives our collective growth.
We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting our cultural identity — not as a mere demographic feature, but as our greatest strength and the bedrock of our shared history and prosperity. From our indigenous languages and culinary arts, to our historical landmarks and creative expressions, our community is a mosaic of rich, interconnected stories. Embracing these differences dismantles barriers, deepens mutual respect, and builds a more inclusive society.
Our cultural heritage is equally a powerful engine for economic empowerment. Through strategic investments in the creative economy, tourism, and local artistry, the Bureau creates platforms where creatives and stakeholders thrive together — transforming traditions into sustainable opportunities that generate employment and elevate our global presence.
We invite every citizen, artist, and stakeholder to celebrate the traditions that make our state vibrant. Let us harness arts, culture, and tourism as tools for dialogue and sustainable development — ensuring our heritage is preserved, celebrated, and passed on to generations to come.
Together in Culture. United in Diversity. Connected for Progress.
