FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE PLACES ALL OPERATIONAL COMMANDS ON RED ALERT AHEAD OF EID-EL-KABIR CELEBRATION
The Controller Genera, Federal Fire Service, Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, MBA, MDRM, ACTI, FCNA, has directed all operational commands and fire stations across the Federation to remain on red alert ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, as part of proactive measures to ensure the safety of lives and property during the festive period.
The directive mandates heightened operational readiness, strategic deployment of firefighting personnel and equipment, and prompt emergency response capability across all commands to effectively manage any fire-related incidents or emergencies that may arise during the celebration.
The Controller General emphasized the importance of vigilance, professionalism, and rapid response by all officers, noting that festive periods often witness increased activities that may heighten fire risks, including cooking, electrical overload, fuel handling, and heavy human movement.
He also urged members of the public to embrace basic fire safety precautions, avoid unsafe practices, and promptly report fire outbreaks or emergencies to the nearest Federal Fire Service station.
The Federal Fire Service reassures Nigerians of its unwavering commitment to public safety and emergency preparedness, while wishing the Muslim faithful a peaceful, safe, and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE ZONE D, NTA MINNA STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP TO ADVANCE FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS
As part of ongoing efforts to deepen public fire safety awareness and strengthen inter-agency collaboration for effective public sensitization, the Zonal Controller, Federal Fire Service Zone D, CF Mustapha Bello Kibiya, paid a courtesy visit to the General Manager of NTA Minna.
During the visit, the Zonal Controller emphasized the importance of strategic media partnerships in promoting fire prevention education, emergency preparedness, and public enlightenment on safety measures necessary to protect lives and property. He noted that collaboration with a reputable media organisation such as NTA Minna would further expand the reach of the Federal Fire Service’s fire safety advocacy campaigns across communities.
In his response, the General Manager of NTA Minna commended the Federal Fire Service for its proactive approach to public safety and expressed the station’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at educating the public on fire prevention, emergency response, and safety consciousness.
Both agencies reaffirmed their commitment to working closely to drive sustained fire safety awareness campaigns and enhance public access to vital safety information.

ZONAL CONTROLLER FFS ZONE D PAYS HOMAGE TO FORMER HEAD OF STATE GEN. IBRAHIM BADAMASI BABANGIDA(RTD.)
The Zonal Controller Zone D, CF Mustapha Bello Kibiya paid a courtesy visit to the former Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida(rtd) in his hilltop residence in Minna.
During his remarks, the Zonal Controller started by appreciating the former Head of State for the audience granted and as well praised him for all his contributions to the nation in terms of human capital and infrastructure. He stated that his legacies will outlive many generations to come.
He went further to state that part of the reason for the visit was to build a cordial relationship between the Zone and the former Head of State as an institution to enable the Service leverage on his wisdom, relationships and position to help grow the Service in the Zone.
His Excellency, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd) appreciated the Zonal Controller and his entourage for the visit, he acknowledged the role of the Service in Emergency Response and assured that he will do all that he can to support the Service.
Among the entourage of the Zonal Controller was the State Controller Niger State Command, ACF Alkali Mohammed Danjuma and management staff of the Zone.
