LONDON BOY MOVEMENT PAYS COURTESY VISITS TO KEY STAKEHOLDERS IN NASARAWA STATE, APPOINTS PATRONS AND AMBASSADORS

Lafia, Nasarawa State | 5 August 2026

The London Boy Movement today embarked on a strategic courtesy visit to prominent leaders and stakeholders in Lafia, Nasarawa State, as part of its ongoing consultations and efforts to strengthen its leadership structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Movement, Hon. Stephen Abraham Narai, and the Director General, Hon. Joseph Maiwada (Apiro), was accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, Zonal Coordinators, Women Leaders, and other officials of the Movement.

The first stop of the visit was to the Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed (Baraden Nasarawa), where the Movement formally conferred on him the distinguished position of Patron of the London Boy Movement. The leadership commended his exemplary service to the State and expressed confidence that his experience and guidance would strengthen the Movement.

The delegation thereafter paid a courtesy visit to Alhaji Yusuf Nagogo (Chiroman Wamba), who graciously accepted his appointment as an Ambassador of the Movement in recognition of his influence, leadership, and commitment to the development of Nasarawa State.

The team also visited the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, and Acting Commissioner for Works and Housing, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, who was equally honoured with the position of Ambassador of the London Boy Movement. The appointment reflects the Movement’s commitment to engaging accomplished leaders who inspire young people and contribute to the growth of the State.

The final visit was to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Dr. Aliyu Bello, who was presented with the appointment of Assistant Grand Patron of the Movement. The leadership noted that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) remains the Grand Patron of the London Boy Movement.

Speaking during the visits, Hon. Stephen Abraham Narai stated that the appointments are part of the Movement’s strategic plan to build an inclusive platform that brings together respected leaders, professionals, and grassroots stakeholders in support of the Movement’s vision.

Similarly, the Director General, Hon. Joseph Maiwada (Apiro), explained that the activities of the London Boy Movement are driven by its objective of complementing the ongoing efforts of the APC by promoting grassroots mobilization, civic engagement, and issue-based advocacy across Nasarawa State.

He reaffirmed that the Movement is committed to working towards the successful election of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as Governor of Nasarawa State and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, with the ultimate goal of seeing both leaders inaugurated into office on 29 May 2027.

The London Boy Movement expressed appreciation to all the distinguished personalities visited for the warm reception accorded to the delegation and for their willingness to identify with the Movement’s vision of a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nasarawa State.

RE: MARARABA FLYOVER PROJECT IS NOT A MISPLACED PRIORITY*

The attention of the London Boy Movement for Ahmed Wadada Aliyu 2027 has been drawn to the statement credited to the Former Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Area, Hon. Samuel Gajere Akala, describing the multi-billion naira Mararaba Flyover Project as a misplaced priority.

We respectfully disagree with this position and find it surprising that someone with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by residents of Karu and the Mararaba axis would speak as though he is unfamiliar with the magnitude of the problem.

For decades, the Mararaba-Keffi-Abuja corridor has been plagued by unbearable traffic congestion, causing untold hardship to thousands of commuters on a daily basis. The consequences of this persistent gridlock are enormous and cannot be ignored:

1. Businesses lose millions of naira daily due to delays and reduced productivity.

2. Workers arrive late to their places of employment, affecting economic output.

3. Pregnant women, sick patients, and emergency cases are often trapped in traffic, with serious consequences.

4. Students miss examinations and important academic activities.

5. Job seekers miss interviews and life-changing opportunities.

6. Appointments are cancelled, meetings disrupted, and valuable man-hours wasted.

7. The traffic situation has posed serious security threats, making commuters vulnerable to criminal activities.

8. Environmental pollution from prolonged vehicular congestion continues to affect public health.

Therefore, to describe a project designed to permanently address these challenges as a "misplaced priority" is not only unfortunate but also inconsistent with the realities experienced by the people every day.

Development requires foresight, courage, and the willingness to invest in projects that will bring long-term benefits to the people. *Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule* has demonstrated such leadership through the commencement of the Mararaba Flyover Project, which will undoubtedly improve transportation, boost economic activities, enhance security, and raise the overall quality of life for residents.

The London Boy Movement for Wadada 2027 urges all stakeholders to set aside sentiments, personal opinions, and political differences and support every genuine effort aimed at advancing the development of Nasarawa State.

We commend and appreciate the Government of His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, for this bold and visionary intervention. History will remember leaders who chose solutions over complaints and development over distractions.

Kudos to the Nasarawa State Government for prioritizing the welfare and future of its people.

E-Signed:

Hon. Joseph Maiwada
Director General.
