COMMITMENT TO GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT:HONOURABLE BASHORUN ZULU OLAYINKA PRESENTS THREE BUNDLES OF ZINC TO SHARE CARPENTER ASSOCIATION

In another demonstration of his commitment to community development and support for local artisans, Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Share/Oke-Ode Constituency, has presented three bundles of roofing zinc to the Carpenter Association, Share Branch.

The gesture reflects a commitment to supporting artisans and recognising their vital contributions to economic growth, vocational development, and community progress.

The presentation was attended by Otunba Yusuf Olalekan Alabi Papol, alongside other party leaders, stakeholders, ADC members, and supporters who joined Honourable Bashorun to demonstrate solidarity with the association.

Speaking during the presentation, Otunba Yusuf Olalekan Alabi Papol described Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka, popularly known as Omoidunnu, as a candidate whose familiarity with the community and understanding of the people's challenges distinguish his aspiration for public office.

He noted that Omoidunnu grew up among the people he now seeks to represent and therefore understands many of the challenges confronting residents, artisans, and other members of the community.

According to him, the Honourable's longstanding involvement in community development and his willingness to support people at the grassroots level demonstrate his interest in the welfare of the people beyond the pursuit of political office.

Otunba Papol expressed confidence in Omoidunnu's commitment to serving the constituency, emphasising the importance of electing representatives who understand local realities, appreciate the struggles of ordinary citizens, and are willing to work towards addressing their needs.

He further highlighted the significance of supporting local artisans, noting that carpenters and other skilled workers play essential roles in community development and economic sustainability.

Members of the Carpenter Association, Share Branch, warmly appreciated Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka for the presentation of the three bundles of roofing zinc.

The association expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention in response to an important need.

Members commended the Honourable for remembering their association and demonstrating concern for their welfare.

They offered prayers for him, wishing him success in his endeavours and expressing hope that his commitment to supporting the community would continue.

The presentation also provided an opportunity to recognise the importance of collaboration between community leaders, professional associations, and individuals interested in advancing local development.

The Carpenter Association remains an important part of Share's informal economy, contributing to construction, housing, vocational training, and the development of practical skills among members of the community.

Supporting such associations can help strengthen local capacity, encourage vocational development, and promote a culture that recognises the contributions of skilled workers to society.

For Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka, the presentation forms part of his engagement with different groups within the constituency as he pursues his aspiration to represent the good people of Share and Oke-Ode at the Kwara State House of Assembly.

As the forthcoming election approaches, discussions about representation, community development, artisans' welfare, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities remain important to the future of the constituency.

The message is clear: community development requires listening to the people, recognising their needs, and encouraging initiatives that support their welfare and livelihoods.

SUPPORTING THE TRANSPORT SECTOR: HONOURABLE BASHORUN ZULU OLAYINKA PRESENTS A GENERATOR AND FAN TO NURTW SHARE BRANCH

In another demonstration of his commitment to grassroots engagement and community development, Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Share/Oke-Ode Constituency, today presented a generator and a standing fan to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Share Branch, at the Share Garage.

The presentation brought together Otunba Yusuf Olalekan Alabi Papol, alongside other party leaders, stakeholders, ADC members, family members, friends, and supporters who gathered at the garage to witness the occasion and show solidarity with the initiative.

The gesture reflects the importance of recognising the contributions of transport workers to community development and supporting associations that play essential roles in the daily lives of residents.

Speaking during the presentation, Otunba Yusuf Olalekan Alabi Papol appreciated the NURTW members for their warm reception and commended them for their significant contributions to the economic and social development of Share.

He acknowledged the important role transport workers play in facilitating the movement of people and goods, connecting communities, supporting commercial activities, and sustaining livelihoods across different sectors of the local economy.

According to him, the presentation of the generator and fan represents a modest contribution towards addressing the operational needs of the association.

Otunba Papol further stated that Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka had been involved in supporting different groups and segments of society through community-oriented and humanitarian activities even before deciding to contest for the Kwara State House of Assembly.

He described the initiative as a demonstration of Omoidunnu's continued engagement with the people and expressed optimism that, if elected, the Honourable would work towards promoting inclusive development and ensuring that the benefits of democratic governance reach different sectors of the constituency.

He also assured the NURTW members that transport workers would remain an important part of the broader conversation on community development, economic empowerment, and improved welfare.

The members of the NURTW, Share Branch, expressed their appreciation to Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka for the presentation of the generator and fan.

The transport sector remains a vital component of Share's economic life, providing employment opportunities, facilitating commerce, and connecting residents to essential services and neighbouring communities.

Supporting associations such as the NURTW is therefore an important part of broader conversations about grassroots development and the welfare of those whose daily activities contribute to the local economy.

As the ADC candidate for Share/Oke-Ode Constituency, Honourable Bashorun Zulu Olayinka has continued to engage with various groups and community stakeholders as he seeks a mandate to represent the constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly.

His stated vision centres on people-oriented representation, community development, improved infrastructure, youth empowerment, and initiatives that can contribute to the social and economic advancement of the constituency.

The presentation at Share Garage serves as another opportunity to highlight the importance of listening to local associations, recognising their contributions, and maintaining constructive relationships with different segments of society.

Effective representation begins with understanding the people, recognising their needs, and working towards practical solutions that promote inclusive development.

As the people of Share and Oke-Ode look towards the forthcoming election, the importance of accountability, responsive leadership, and sustainable community development remains central to the future of the constituency.

Indeed, when leadership is driven by compassion and a genuine concern for humanity, even a seemingly modest intervention can create a lasting impression.

Oke-Ayo has witnessed another moment of joy, and the message remains clear: the people matter, the grassroots deserve attention, and community development must remain a priority.

If Hon. Tope Olarinoye Olayonu Danlad previously served as a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives and is subsequently elected again to the House, that previous service can be relevant to his seniority/experience. However, it would not automatically make him a “Ranking Member” immediately upon election.

The Nigerian Senate Standing Orders explicitly recognize previous service in the House of Representatives when determining the ranking of Senators: returning Senators are considered first, followed by Senators who previously served in the House of Representatives, then first-time Senators.

For the House of Representatives, committee leadership and membership are separately organized, with chairmen and vice-chairmen appointed to standing committees.

So, for Danlad, a professionally accurate way to present the idea would be:

“With his previous experience as a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tope Olarinoye Olayonu Danlad brings valuable legislative experience to his aspiration to represent the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency.”

I would not state as a fact that he “will be a Ranking Member of the National Assembly” solely because he is a former House member. That status depends on the applicable rules, his previous tenure, the chamber he is elected to, and the eventual parliamentary arrangements.
