*Request for Correction of Incorrect Ranking of ADP Candidate*
*URGENT CORRECTION*
We wish to respectfully draw the attention of *Phoenix Post* to an error in its publication concerning the ranking of candidates in the *2026 Osun State Governorship Election.*
The publication reportedly placed Hon. *Comr. Adeagbo Opawoye Yemisi, the Action Democratic Party (ADP)* candidate, in 6th position.
This is incorrect.
According to the *official INEC Form EC8E – Declaration of Result, Hon. Adeagbo Opawoye Yemisi received 2,946 votes.*
When the 15 candidates are ranked according to the votes officially recorded on the INEC EC8E, the ranking is:
1. Adeleke Ademola Jackson Nurudeen — 511,067
2. Oyebamiji Bola — 444,815
3. Salaam Najeem Folasayo — 17,180
4. *Adeagbo Opawoye Yemisi (ADP) — 2,946*
5. Adesuyi John Olufemi — 2,482
6. Olanrewaju Farinloye — 2,308
The fact that Hon. Adeagbo appears as *candidate number 5 on the EC8E does not mean she finished 5th,* just as the candidate listed as number 2 did not necessarily finish second. The candidates are ranked by their *actual votes received,* not by the serial number in the form.
We therefore respectfully request that *Phoenix Post correct the publication and any accompanying social-media posts,* to reflect the official INEC result.
This is not about political sentiment or opinion. It is simply a request that the public record accurately reflect the result declared by the electoral authority.
*Evidence: Official INEC Form EC8E – Declaration of Result, 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.*
