The difference is visible, but the work doesn’t end here.

September 19 was only the beginning of a continuous environmental programme. We clean, we learn, we take responsibility and we keep going.

A cleaner Osun starts with all of us.

State Security : Governor Adeleke Tasks Osun Residents on Alertness and Threats Reporting

OSOGBO - 13/09/2026 - Osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke has tasked Osun residents to report any suspicious movements or individuals in their areas or neighbourhood to security agencies without any delay.

The governor who made the appeal in response to reported planned terrorist attacks on places of worship in Osun state called on the members of the public to alert security agencies if they notice an influx of strange faces especially across the border communities.

We must provide the police and other security agencies with intelligence reports, with noticeable threats, in our communities. As we are aware of alleged plots to attack our places of worship, we must become extra vigilant. Report anything unusual without any delay.

I commend the Department of State Service (DSS) for taking proactive measures to counter the threats. I charge other security agencies to review the situation and develop an action plan to strengthen security of lives and properties.

I will soon convey the State Security Council meeting to assess the situation and the workability of our response plans. As residents of this state, we must collaborate with the security agencies through information sharing.

We should be wary of people we host in our communities. On this note, I charge our royal fathers to also host their traditional council meetings on this development. We must nip in the bud the evil plans of enemies of public peace.

Our administration is committed to post-election peace building and we must tighten state security to foil any attempt by terrorists and bandits to disrupt public peace”, Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying in the news release.

THROWBACK THURSDAY 🔙 | May 20, 2025

Taking it back to the floor of the House of Representatives, where Hon. (Dr.) Morufu Adewale Adebayo Gangaria, representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, led the debate on the bill seeking the establishment of the Federal University of Technology, Osogbo.

The bill successfully scaled through its Second Reading, marking another important step towards bringing a federal institution focused on science, technology, engineering and innovation to Osogbo and its environs.

In his lead debate, Hon. Gangaria emphasized the strategic importance of establishing the university, particularly in addressing the growing demand for quality tertiary education and reducing the pressure on existing federal institutions.

Beyond education, the proposed Federal University of Technology, Osogbo has the potential to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, stimulate economic activities across Osogbo, Irepodun, Orolu and Olorunda, and provide a strong platform for research, technological innovation and human capital development.

This is the kind of representation that goes beyond making noise. It is about identifying the needs and aspirations of the people and taking them to the highest level of government.

For Gangaria, the proposed university represents more than just another bill. It is a direct contribution to his people, a push for greater federal presence and a potential legacy project that can create opportunities for generations of young people.

The bill was thereafter referred to the relevant House Committee for further legislative scrutiny, with Hon. Gangaria reaffirming his commitment to seeing the process through for the benefit of his constituents and the nation at large.

This is why representation matters. This is why continuity matters. And this is why Gangaria deserves another term.

Osun people are eating good with representatives who understand that their mandate is about the people and not themselves. 💪🏾

Governor Adeleke Jets out on Vacation, Orders Probe into Koka Obaship Dispute

OSOGBO - 06/09/2026 - Osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke today left the country for vacation in Europe even as he ordered a probe into the emerging dispute over the kingship of Koka town in Obokun Local Government.

The governor who will also embark on medicals as part of the vacation is headed to the United Kingdom and other destinations to be announced later.

“I am taking a short break to refresh and get further prepared to serve the good people of Osun state”, the governor stated while taking off at the Lagos airport.

He however directed the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to probe the circumstances surrounding the reported appointment of another king for Koka Ilase, leading to alleged two kings in the same town.

The ministry was instructed to review the situation and enforce due process of the law in respect of the chieftaincy law and tradition.

“I read of another King appointed outside the one on the stool. The ministry is hereby directed to look into the dispute and issue a report to set the records straight.

“I however urge all stakeholders to remain peaceful as the ministry does the needful. Kingship is governed by extant laws and regulations and the government will stand by the law and tradition of our people”, the governor posited.
