The Osun State Chapter of the City Boy Movement has fixed Sunday, October 4, 2026, for the official inauguration of the State Executives and Local Government Coordinators in the state.
The Movement will also unveil its new State Secretariat in Osogbo same day.
The event, which is expected to bring together youth leaders, political stakeholders, members and supporters of the Movement from across Osun State, will be held at the new Secretariat, Onward Area, Gbongan/Ibadan Road. Osogbo.
In a statement, signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, by the Osun City Boy Movement Director of Media and Publicity, Yakubu Atanda, the event will mark a significant phase in strengthening the Movement's grassroots structures across the state.
According to the statement, the City Boy Movement has a specific role of mobilising, engaging and coordinating young people in support of the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 General Election, while encouraging greater youth participation in Nigeria’s political and democratic processes.
"The inauguration of the State Executive and Local Government Coordinators would provide a structured platform for youth engagement and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle while the unveiling of City Boy House, would further provide a central point for coordination, meetings, political engagement and youth-oriented activities of the Movement in the State", Atanda said.
The statement urged the State Executive and Local Government Coordinators across the state to take the event seriously and work collectively to make it a memorable milestone for the movement.
The statement further implored members of the Movement to mobilise all the structures and ensure broad participation as the strength of the Movement depends solely on effective grassroots organisation and meaningful engagement with young people.
