WE DONT WANT ANY FULANI IN OUR AGATU LAND TO MURDER US AGAIN.

The dry season is coming very fast, it's another season of Fulani to start showing their faces in Agatu after murdering all our people.

And I bet you they will be coming one by one, the leaders will have no care for your opinion, they will negotiate with them at your own detriment, they don't care.

It will shock you to know that they might have already started negotiating and aligning on conditions.

Be vigilant and let the world know that affliction shall not rise the second time.

We don't want Fulani again in our land.
Do we hate them? The answer is no. But we can't risk another season of death living with people that the only language they understand is to murder people.

If you are in support of these moves, share this post, comment and hit likes.

FOLLOW-UP: OLOGBA PEACE ACCORD MEETING

HEADLINE:
"You Rescued a Killer With 100k in Abuja From The Man Whose Father He Killed" - AIYA President Tackles Agatu Zone A & B Youths Over Ologba Peace Accord, Slams Silence On Detained Youth President

Sub-headline: Agatu Indigenous Youth Leader Says Some Fathers Are Still Alive While Others Have Been Forced To Flee, Demands Answers On Murder Allegation and House of Assembly Ticket

By the mirror News Desk | Ologba, Agatu LGA

A follow-up reaction has trailed the peace accord meeting held by Agatu Zone A and B youths in Ologba community.

Reacting to the meeting, the Convener/National President of Agatu Indigenous Youth Association (AIYA), Comr. Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, in a statement titled "Good speech," raised several questions about justice, fairness and sincerity of the process.

Comr. Edor, while not mentioning names for security reasons, alleged that there are unresolved cases linked to the crisis that must be addressed before peace can be genuine.

> "We need to know that person who killed someone's father and was later rescued of 100k in Abuja from the hand of the same man whose father he murdered. And who is that person whose father was murdered, who is allegedly denied house of assembly as pronounced," he stated.

He noted that while some people's fathers are still alive, others have left their communities and have been displaced, a reality he said the peace meeting failed to address.

The AIYA President expressed worry over what he described as selective activism by the organizers, pointing out that the youth president of Agatu, who is currently in detention, was allegedly set up by the same set of people now using the youths for peace meetings.

> "What is even more worrisome is the fact that they acknowledged their youth president is in detention, set up by same people who will still use them, yet they never for one day cry out, never consult anyone for his release, never gather for any meetings seeking his release. Very unfortunate."

He said he is still reviewing other videos from the Ologba meeting and will make his full position known later.

As of press time, organizers of the Ologba meeting are yet to respond to the allegations raised.

Editor's Note: The murder and rescue allegations are as alleged by Comr. Edor and have not been independently verified.

Do you think the Ologba peace accord can stand without first addressing these alleged injustices?

OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT BY AGATU INDIGENOUS YOUTH ASSOCIATION (AIYA) ON THE PURPORTED FINE IMPOSED ON EKAIDA COMMUNITY

The attention of the Agatu Indigenous Youth Association (AIYA) has been drawn to a disturbing report emanating from Oche'Adogoji compound on the 11th day of October, 2026.

According to information reaching us, at a meeting convened to cross-examine some persons over the 111 Battalion signpost saga, a decision was reached mandating Ekaida community to present 3 goats, 1 pot of burukutu, 3 cartons of b**r, 1 pot of kwunu and N20,000 cash as penalty for demanding that the Army barracks situated on their ancestral land be properly named after Ekaida.

AIYA is currently investigating this report to establish its authenticity.

However, we wish to state categorically that if this information is true, AIYA condemns it in totality.

It is pure extortion. It is oppression. It is intimidation. It is an abuse of tradition and has no place in law, morality or any civilized societal value.

Ekaida community committed no offence. Their only "offence" was demanding rightful recognition for hosting the 111 Battalion of the Nigerian Army. That is a legitimate demand for identity and honour, not an abomination that should attract fine or humiliation. Targeting them because they are vulnerable and seeking solace in the community is unjust, inhumane and unacceptable. Where they are taking solace is still an Agatu land, yet same Agatu proving discrimination.

OUR CALL FOR INTERVENTION:

We therefore call on the following revered institutions and personalities to urgently intervene before this injustice escalates:

1. The First Class Chief of Agatu
2. The Second Class Chiefs in Agatu
3. The Third Class Chiefs and the Agatu Traditional Council
4. The Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers
5. The Government of Benue State
6. His Royal Majesty, the Och'Idoma, Paramount Ruler of Idoma Kingdom
7. All well-meaning Agatu stakeholders, elders and leaders

We urge you to call the actors to order, nullify this extortionate decision, and resolve the underlying issue - the proper naming and recognition of Ekaida as host community of the 111 Battalion - in a just and peaceful manner.

OUR STAND:

Let it be known that Ekaida is an Agatu community and an injury to Ekaida is an injury to the entire Agatu nation. AIYA will not fold its arms and watch any Agatu community be intimidated for speaking the truth.

If nothing is done to reverse this shameful fine, AIYA will take this matter personally- we shall pursue every legal proceeding, petition every relevant authority including the National Human Rights Commission, Benue State House of Assembly, and civil society organizations to ensure this level of injustice is stopped.

Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done.

Signed:

Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor
President, AIYA

If your silence is the determinant factor needed to prosecute an innocent person and you remain mute, then you are the most guilty and deserves more grievous punishment than the accused.

Our people have been set up and arrested by the same people saddled with the responsibility of saving them.

THE BROKEN BROTHERHOOD AND THE FALL OF OJILA COMMUNITY.

ABOUT THE BOOK

This is a story about brotherhood, power, betrayal, war, and the painful cost of division.

Once upon a time, the people of Ojila lived as one. Under the peaceful and respected reign of Edor Achema, the community enjoyed unity, prosperity, love, and security. He was a king who understood that leadership was not about standing above his people, but about serving them. Under his reign, Ojila prospered, and brotherly love held the community together.

But when Edor Achema died, he left behind more than a throne. He left a legacy—and a test.

At the heart of that test were Onungbo Agbadu and Oko Adogo, two brothers from the same clan who had once shared trust, love, and a common destiny. What began as respect for an elder brother gradually became a struggle for power. Suspicion replaced trust, ambition replaced brotherhood, and a once-united community was torn apart.

The struggle over the traditional stool would eventually lead to years of violence. Families were displaced, homes and properties were destroyed, and the community endured twelve to thirteen years of conflict. Political interests and competing loyalties further complicated the crisis, while the truth itself became dangerous to speak.

The death of Oko Adogo marked another painful turning point. Yet instead of ending the struggle, his death gave rise to a new battle—a battle fought through strategy, influence, and the determination to keep the throne within his lineage. Eventually, his son Alecheni was brought home and crowned with an artificial crown, while the original symbols of kingship remained with Onungbo. But a crown could not restore the unity that had been lost.

The consequences did not end with the struggle between the brothers. The community would later face another conflict, this time over land with Egbando. The dispute would lead to further violence and ultimately the death of Alecheni, bringing the long and tragic cycle of conflict to another devastating end.

This book is therefore more than a story about a throne. It is a story about what happens when brother turns against brother, when power becomes more important than peace, and when division is allowed to grow unchecked.

It is also a reminder to future generations that the consequences of conflict rarely end with those who start it. The children inherit the wounds, the broken relationships, the lost opportunities, and sometimes even the land that their ancestors fought over.

Through the history of Ojila, this book carries a simple but powerful message:

When brothers fight, strangers inherit.
When power is placed above peace, everyone loses.
And no crown—real or artificial—can replace unity.

This story is written so that the children of today and the generations yet unborn may understand the price of division and choose a different path.

May this history be remembered.
May its lessons be learned.
And may it never be repeated.

2027 BENUE ASSEMBLY ELECTION: HONOURABLE JOHN ANTHONY IKWULONO, A MAN OF THE PEOPLE

Owing to his people-centric view on issues, there is absolutely no doubt that Honourable John Anthony Ikwulono (JAI), also known as Mr. Simple Solution, is truly a man of the people. Honourable Ikwulono has, in no small measure, contributed to the growth and development of Agatu.

For instance, in his quest to represent Agatu at the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Simple Solution stands out as the only candidate whose activities over the years have consistently shown a man always committed to meeting the yearnings and aspirations of his people.

Hon. John Anthony Ikwulono has worked with various NGOs to give the people of Agatu a new lease of life despite the many challenges confronting the area. One of the engagements was his selection as part of the Agatu critical stakeholders who were carefully chosen to participate in an interactive programme with the Spring NGO from Geneva, Switzerland. Challenges such as insecurity and other pressing concerns were discussed, and great outcomes are expected soon for the good people of Agatu.

This speaks to the pedigree of Mr. Simple Solution and his contributions to the growth of the Agatu State Constituency. He will do even more when he is elected as the next member representing the people in 2027. Let us give him the support he needs in order to emerge victorious at the polls.

He has constantly shown that he is on the side of the people and their wellbeing, and that's why he so easily is the man of the people.

Join the JAI Movement today for the Agatu of your dreams.
