IMO YOUTHS SPEAK:

Imo State Council of Youths, commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for approving 30k minimum wage for the Civil Servants

..Appeal to him to reconsider the 2019 Newly Employed Imolites erroneously sacked by Ihedioha.

The Youths of Imo State under the auspices of Imo State Council of Youths (the supreme youth body in the state) have joined thier voices in commending the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma for approving payment of the #30,000 minimum wage. Describing it as right step at right direction.

Reacting to the development, the Chairman of the BoT, Imo State Council of Youths, Comrade Jeff Nwaoha noted that within few days in office, Governor Hope Uzodinma and the APC govt in Imo state, has shown readiness and capacity to move the State to the next level.
According to him, governance is all about the Social Contract with the people and he believes Governor Uzodimma will do well in that regard.

He therefore, appealed to the Governor to reconsider the 2019 Newly employed, whose salaries were stopped unjustly by the sacked Government of Emeka Ihedioha.

He informed that there was no genuine reason for the suspension of their salaries if not maybe for political reasons.

The Youths noted that those affected by the unfortunate policy are more of youths who have all the energies and ready to contribute to the development of the State and should be given the opportunity to do so.

They called on Governor Uzodinma whom they believe is a listening Governor to look into the plights of the Youths with a view of giving it a priority attention.

They pledged to continue to support every effort aimed at moving the State forward, describing Imo State as the only place they can call their State.
