POST-SUPREME COURT Judgment: YPP OPENS DOORS TO ADC, PDP MEMBERS AND DISENCHANTED ASPIRANTS IN IMO STATE
Following today’s Supreme Court judgment, the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Imo State Chapter, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Michael Anyanwu, has extended a strategic and timely invitation to members and supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State to consider joining the YPP.
The State Chairman made this call while receiving aspirants who visited him at Progress House, the party’s secretariat in Owerri, and expressed interest in joining the party.
Rt. Hon. Anyanwu further emphasized that YPP is also open to aggrieved and disenchanted aspirants across political parties who, due to ongoing leadership crises and a lack of internal democracy in those parties, are uncertain about realizing their aspirations.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the party to providing a credible, inclusive, and opportunity-driven platform.
The Chairman expressed deep concern over the persistent internal conflicts and weakening internal democracy within several political parties, noting that these challenges not only frustrate credible aspirants but also undermine democracy and weaken governance.
He reiterated that the YPP stands as a credible and dependable alternative, anchored on inclusiveness, accountability, equity, and internal democracy. The party offers a level playing ground where aspirations are nurtured, leadership is earned through merit, and every stakeholder has a fair opportunity to contribute meaningfully.
He therefore assures aspirants facing uncertainty about their political future in other political parties that the YPP provides clarity, stability, and genuine opportunity within a transparent and structured system. He further stressed that the party remains committed to building a political culture that prioritizes integrity, fairness, and sustainable development in Imo State.
