ADC Owerri Municipal Forum

THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC) OWERRI MUNICIPAL YESTERDAY, THE 15th OF JANUARY, 2026 HOSTED ITS FIRST EXECUTIVE AND LEADERSHIP MEETING:

It's an awakening and renewal of strength as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Owerri Municipal hosted its first meeting of the year. The meeting was well structured and anchored by the party's LGA Chairman, Hon. Ashimole Ndubuisi and the Owerri zonal leader, Chief Ben Mere.

Chief Ben Mere, in his opening speech warmly welcomed the party executives into another year he tagged "The Year of Serious Work Towards the Victory of ADC", he charged the leadership to put in more effort in their respective leadership roles.

Chief Ben Mere, in is trademark vibrant voice outlined the numerous challenges facing the Owerri Municipal Council and further proffer immediate solution that got every of the executives present inspired.

As the environment was charged with the great inspiration from the Apex leader, the ADC Owerri Municipal Council Chairman, Hon. Ashimole Ndubuisi further energised the party executive with words of encouragement that they should not relent in the struggle to make things to come back to normal for the good of the people and further pledge his unflinching support at all levels to ensure that everyone is carried along in love, unity and the principles that guides ADC as a family.

The meeting recorded a great turnout of executives of various wards and the political technocrats of Owerri Municipal Council with names such as; the former Owerri Municipal Council Chairman, Hon. Vincent Ochieze, Hon. J.C Nwanchukwu, former Coordinator, Rebuild Imo Movement, Comrade Onyenwuchi Emeka Lekwuwa, other, executive leaders present were; the women leader, Mrs. Vero Awuzie, the organising secretary, Sir Evans Williams Owelle, the energetic youth leader, Bolton Igboanugo, the secretary, Mr. Ofoegbu Reginald, Barrister Chimezie Nnawuchi, the Legal advisor and the Vice Chairman.

There were other special guests present like, Mr. Obinna Nwogu, the founder, Orison Hotels and High Chief Okey Amadi, the CEO Egwuchukwu Farm, who made his intention known to the leadership of Owerri Municipal Council about is love for the party and will be there for the party in his own capacity, it is worthy to note that High Chief Amadi is an aspirant for the Federal House of Representative of Owerri zone.

The Chairman reform the shape of operations with the introduction of leadership wards visitation tour that will further imbibe harmonious working relationships at all levels of the ADC Owerri Municipal Council.

IMO ADC HOLDS SPECIAL STAKEHOLDERS MEETING AS PARTY LEADER, IHEDIOHA, OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED AND UNVEILED THE NEW MEMBERS FROM LABOUR PARTY, PDP, AND THE OBIDIENT MOVEMENT INTO THE ADC FAMILY.

OWERRI MUNICIPAL WERE FULLY ON GROUND:

It was a powerful event yesterday, the 6th of January 2026, as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held her first stakeholders meeting at the party's state secretariat, Huson House, Owerri, Imo State. The event was graced by party leaders and other high profile dignitaries.

Speaking at the meeting, the party leader, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha praised the effort so far and the success recorded by all party faithful in ensuring that ADC is the only the best option in giving the Imo people what they deserved as governance. He further unveiled and welcomed the PDP and the Obidient Movement members of the Labour Party in their large numbers into the ADC family. He further encouraged the party executives at all levels to continue in their hard work in unity and harmony for the success of the party.

The former governor, H.E. Chief Dr. Achike Udenwa, the Vice Chairman of the ADC South East, Chief Bon Unachukwu and the Imo State ADC Chairman, Prof. James Okoroma also shared with the views of the former Deputy Speaker of House of Representative, H.E. Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha in charging hard work and imbibed the act of discipline as a key in promoting togetherness in the party.

The event was also graced by Hon. Ashimole Ndubuisi, the ADC Chairman of Owerri Municipal Local Government Area and other 26 ADC LGA Chairman.
