HON. MRS NDIDI IHEME ADDRESSES MEN, WOMEN, AND YOUTHS OF OWERRI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
Hon. Mrs Ndidi Iheme (Nee Njemanze) has shared heartfelt concerns and words of encouragement with the men, women, and youths of Owerri Federal Constituency, emphasizing patience, family unity, mutual support, and the need to tackle the growing menace of drug abuse.
Addressing the women, she encouraged them to remain strong and resilient, expressing optimism that their present challenges would soon give way to better days. She emphasized that patience is essential in these trying times, describing women as “shock absorbers” whose strength, endurance, and sacrifices play a vital role in sustaining families and society.
She also commended the men for their efforts and contributions to their families and communities, urging them to remain supportive, loving, and responsible husbands. According to her, unity is a pathway to progress, stressing that a man who genuinely loves and supports his wife creates an environment where she can thrive and succeed, even in difficult circumstances.
Turning her attention to the youths, Hon. Ndidi Iheme expressed concern over the growing menace of drug abuse and urged young people to stay away from drugs and other destructive habits. She noted that drug abuse undermines the potential of young people and limits their ability to contribute meaningfully to society. She further called on parents to take a deliberate and consistent interest in their children's lives, paying attention to their associations, behaviour, challenges, and overall well-being.
Her message was clear: strong women, supportive men, responsible youths, and attentive parents are essential to building a healthier, more united, and progressive constituency.
Through this message, Hon. Mrs Ndidi Iheme reaffirmed the importance of collective responsibility, family values, and community solidarity as foundations for a better future for Owerri Federal Constituency.
