One year has passed since I was entrusted with the sacred responsibility of the throne of my forefathers

Over the past year, we have honored our traditions, reinforced our unity, and taken courageous steps toward a future that embodies the pride and resilience of Oyo. None of this could be achieved without the steadfast support of our chiefs, elders, youths, and the entire Oyo Kingdom.

This throne does not belong solely to me; it belongs to all of us. Together, we will continue to build, protect, and uplift the legacy left by our ancestors.

As we celebrate this first anniversary, I pray for ongoing wisdom, peace, and prosperity in our land. Our journey has only just begun.

As the year draws to a close, may the joy, peace, and goodwill of the Christmas season fill every heart and home. May this season bring renewed hope, unity, and blessings, and may the coming year be one of prosperity, good health, and harmony for all.

In keeping with the values of honour, service, and the enduring traditions of Yorubaland, I bestowed chieftaincy titles on two distinguished sons of our nation whose lives exemplify character, loyalty, and dedication to unity.

Barrister Seyi Tinubu was inaugurated as Okanlomo of Yoruba land and Senator Abubakar Yari was inaugurated as Obaloyin of Yoruba land.

These honors go beyond ceremony; they are a call to greater responsibility, unity, and ongoing service to our people and Nigeria as a whole.

May the grace of tradition guide them, their steps foster progress, and Yorubaland remain a shining example of unity, peace, and purposeful leadership.

Today, I celebrate a Woman who makes everyday Divine.

19 years together, and without a doubt, I would choose you every single time. You are my strength, my peace, my forever. We’ve built an incredible kingdom of love, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

l'm proud to announce plans for a Cultural Centre for Research and Development a place where scholars, students, and curious minds can explore the rich legacy of the Oyo Empire and help shape our intellectual future.

At the launch of "Know Oyo State", a powerful book by the State Commissioner for information, Mr. Dotun Oyelade, I emphasized how vital it is to reconnect our youth with their roots. This work is more than a book; it's a reminder of who we are and a tool for rebuilding pride and purpose in our heritage.

As a custodian of culture, l'm pleased to see our traditions well represented. Oyo's influence stretches far beyond its borders, and we must preserve and study that legacy. The proposed Centre will house works like this, alongside those of scholars like Professors Toyin Falola, Adeshina, and Siyan Oyeweso, voices that carry Yoruba history to the world.

With over 1,200 schools and half a million students in Oyo State, this is the time to teach our children their history, to give them pride, clarity, and a deep sense of identity.
