It is an indigenous oil company owned by African women, which began in Nigeria under a government mandate for 35% women participation in economic activities. It is designed to operate in 10 major categories of the oil and gas industry, in a collaborative effort with heavily experienced technical partners from Canada. It is aimed at providing business loans and monthly income support to women so that families can be supported, children fed and households kept.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:As we strive to solve the numerous issues affecting the female gender in an unfriendly business environment,members of WIO should not forget the 6th paragraph in the brochure under the membership terms & conditions.It states that "MEMBERS WHO SPEAK BAD OF WIO TO THE PUBLIC WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOSE THEIR MEMBERSHIP AT ANY STAGE."So,support the initiative and avoid destructive criticism.
