OUR STORY
Every city has a certain period where impact in development aided in redefining the society begins, we believe the streets of Port-Harcourt has the level of creativity that can be infused in the growth and development of an ideal urban city we envisage.
We also believe that to achieve the aims of the Agency by Standardizing the Outdoor Advertisement scenery, with beautiful aesthetics the Agency has to curb the ills of clutter, substandard billboards at every section of the city.
Armed with our mandate as the only Agency empowered by law to regulate outdoor advertising and signages in Rivers State, RISAA is geared towards sanitizing the outdoor space by bringing in quintessential approaches that will improve the state scenery. Signed into law in 2015, we have been out to the public since 2016..
Our enforcement exercises on Third Party Practitioners (Owners of billboards) are ways we intend to curb the excesses of illegal erecting of billboards that pose a potential hazard to passersby or road users and to also distinguish between properly certified practitioners from scammers.
