Abia State celebrates a major innovation milestone!
Adaeze Ruth Akpagbula, co-founder of Farm Speak, has emerged as the Overall Winner of the 2026 NASENI InnovateNaija Competition Naseni Innovation Hub , winning the ₦100 million grand prize.
Organised by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) in partnership with AfriLabs, the InnovateNaija initiative supports young Nigerian innovators with funding, mentorship, technical assistance and opportunities to take homegrown solutions to market.
Adaeze’s winning innovation, PenKeep: Smart Poultry Climate Control System, is designed to help farmers manage climate-related challenges across poultry farming, aquaculture, greenhouse production and smart irrigation. The award provides an opportunity for Farm Speak to expand production and bring its technology to more farmers.
For His Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Governor of Abia State, this achievement highlights the value of empowering Abians to apply their knowledge and creativity to solve real-world problems through technology.
The goal is to see more homegrown ideas become practical solutions that improve lives, strengthen businesses and compete beyond the state.
Adaeze’s achievement is a win for Farm Speak and an inspiration to every Abian working to build solutions to our everyday challenges.
