In a renewed demonstration of loyalty, commitment, and collective responsibility, the leadership of Abia Arise Students’ Wing, led by Comr. Ngozi Emmanuel Chinedu, has reaffirmed its total support for the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, declaring with confidence that the Governor has more four years to continue steering the affairs of the state.
This declaration was made during the Executive Enlarged Meeting of Abia Arise Students’ Wing, which brought together critical stakeholders including the State Students’ Wing Executives, Chapter and Institutional Executives, SUG Presidents, and the leadership of the National Association of Abia State Students (NAASS).
Speaking at the event, Comr. Emmanuel , who gave the opening remarks, highlighted the vision and mission of Abia Arise Students’ Wing. He emphasized the importance of civic responsibility, particularly the role of the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) as a fundamental right and instrument for shaping the future.
In his words, “PVC is your voice as a citizen. It is the power every student has to elect leaders who will represent them tomorrow.”
He further stressed the need for students to remain politically conscious and actively participate in the democratic process.
The Coordinator, also used the opportunity to appreciate Governor Otti for his remarkable interventions in the education sector, citing institutions such as Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Aba, Abia State University Uturu, Abia State College of Education Arochukwu, and other tertiary institutions across the state. He noted that these efforts deserve recognition and continuous support from the student community.

She reminded the executives that leadership is service and responsibility, not mere position. According to her, the Governor has already laid the foundation and practically campaigned for himself through performance, and it is now the responsibility of students to defend, project, and protect good governance. She urged them to remain disciplined, united, and focused on grassroots mobilization.
In a moment of excitement and solidarity, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Affairs, Hon. Chinedu Nwosu, led the students in joyful chants affirming that the Governor has more four years. He charged the students to strengthen coordination across chapters and institutions, stressing that grassroots engagement remains the backbone of Abia Arise.
