Today, May 30th, 2026, It was an honour to attend the 2026 Diocesan Synod of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Niger Delta West at St. Peter’s Deanery, Yenagoa.

I thank the Vicar and entire church for appointing me as Special Launcher during the Bishop’s Presidential Address. The launch is for the building of a Modern Diocesan Event Centre, and I am glad to be part of this great vision.

HAPPY 2026 NATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY

Today, I celebrate your joy and dreams. We will protect your rights, your welfare, and your right to quality education.

As a mother and legislator, I see your struggles and your promise. You are the laughter in our homes and the future of our State.

With this year's theme “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child”, we will support the government with legislation while investing in skills-based education and pushing for inclusive classrooms and facilities for children living with disabilities.

Every child deserves equal opportunities to dream boldly and thrive without discrimination. You are our greatest investment.

May God protect you for a greater future ahead. I am proud of you all.

Happy Children’s Day!

Today, May 25, 2026, I was present as the Centre for Peace and Self Values Re-Orientation conferred the Integrity Stewardship Award "Service Ambassador" on my sister, Mrs. Charity Kens Godwin.

Leadership is often lonely work. The hours are long, the criticism is loud, and the sacrifices are unseen. That is why today matters. An independent assessment across the South-South gave her 90% across ten sectors not for promises, but for presence. For showing up for our people.

As Director General of the Douye Diri Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Programme, she has taken the Governor’s prosperity agenda beyond policy into practice. I have seen her accessibility, her refusal to compromise, and her quiet philanthropy. Bayelsa needs more public servants like her.

I share CPSVR’s position that the Niger Delta deserves urgent federal intervention on poverty, jobs, and environmental justice. We give much to Nigeria. Our people deserve more.

To my sister, Mrs. Charity Kens Godwin: this award reflects what you already carry — integrity. Do not grow weary. Your work speaks, and today, the nation has answered.

Congratulations.

Today, May 23, 2026, I joined His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, at the maiden combined convocation ceremony of Bayelsa State Polytechnic, Aleibiri, Ekeremor Local Government Area.

This convocation marks a major policy achievement for Bayelsa State. Established in 2014 and operational since the 2019/2020 session, the Polytechnic embodies Governor Douye Diri administration’s strategic pivot toward science, technical, and vocational education as instruments of human capital development.

The relocation of the institution to its permanent site in Aleibiri and the successful accreditation of all presented programmes by the National Board for Technical Education affirm the institutional stability and academic standards being entrenched under the Prosperity Administration.

I commend His Excellency for his commitment to infrastructural expansion, including the directive for two coaster buses, perimeter fencing, and additional classroom blocks. These interventions are critical to positioning the Polytechnic to fulfill its mandate.

To the Governing Council, Management led by Rector Dr. Wisdom Clinton Soreh, academic and non-academic staff, and the host community: your collective efforts have delivered this success. To the 413 graduates awarded National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas today, you represent the dividend of the government investment in technical education.

As a legislator, I remain committed to supporting policies and appropriations that strengthen technical and vocational institutions across Bayelsa State.

Congratulations to all stakeholders on this historic accomplishment.

A HEART OF GRATITUDE TO GOD AND THE PEOPLE OF YENAGOA CONSTITUENCY I

"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." – Romans 13:1

With a humble heart, I first give all glory to Almighty God, from whom all authority and opportunity flow. Without His grace, none of this would be possible.

I sincerely thank His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Otoroto-Ibe Oguan, the Governor of Bayelsa State, and His Excellency, Pastor Peter Peretubo Akpe, the Deputy Governor, for their steady leadership and dedication to the progress of our state.

To Rt. Hon. Ingobere Abraham, Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, I express deep appreciation for your guidance and fatherly support.

My gratitude also goes to the executive of the All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa State, led by Rt. Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, and to all party executives, stakeholders, and elders for the trust you have placed in me.

To the leaders, supporters, and good people of Yenagoa Constituency I, thank you for standing with me and for entrusting me with the opportunity to fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 election. I do not take this confidence for granted.

By God’s grace, we will listen, learn, and act. We will strengthen areas that need improvement and build on the gains already made, so that our constituency experiences better representation and tangible development.

I ask for your continued prayers and support as we walk this journey together for the good of our people and our state.
