NYSC Benue Coordinator Urges Outgoing Corps Members to Harness Knowledge Acquired During Service
The NYSC Benue State Coordinator, Mrs. Veronica Garba, has called on the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II outgoing corps members to utilise the knowledge, skills and information acquired throughout their service year to empower themselves and contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.
Mrs. Garba made the call on Thursday, September 3, 2026, during the low-key Passing-Out Ceremony for the corps members held at the Makurdi Local Government Secretariat.
Represented by the Assistant Director, Corps Monitoring and Inspection, the State Coordinator reminded the outgoing corps members that the NYSC had equipped them with relevant knowledge and opportunities designed to prepare them for life after national service.
She said, “We have told you all that needed to be said, from SAED to CDS and funding options. So, make use of the information and better your lives and those of others.”
Mrs. Garba urged the corps members not to allow the end of their service year to mark the end of their personal development, but to build on the skills and experiences gained during the service year and explore available opportunities for entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
She further encouraged them to remain responsible citizens and use their knowledge and skills to contribute positively to their communities and the nation at large.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of Certificates of National Service to three outgoing corps members, formally marking the successful completion of their national service.
