VISION KILLERS

Proverbs 29:18a Where there is no vision, the people perish….

Habakkuk 2:2-3 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. [3] For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

The Bible did not say where there is no money, where there is no car, or where is no certificate….. the Bible says where there is no vision the people, the family, the country perish.

In as much as God is your Maker you have a vision made along with you, you are made to solve a problem.

• FATHER, rescue me from living without a vision, I will not perish.

Tell someone:
1. Tomorrow belongs only to those who have vision, they are ones blessed with orientation, satisfaction and elevation. Those who don't have vision only have revision and television, nothing new.

2. Vision helps you to see where you will later be and how to get there.

3. If where you are is leading nowhere VISION will help you correct your go, your goal and your landing.

Categories of vision
There are four categories of vision each of us must have:
1. Visions of God: Ezekiel 1:1 ] Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month , in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
Isaiah 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

2. Vision of the word of God. Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

3. Vision of your life. Like to Abraham, Samuel. Genesis 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

4. Vision of where you are going after this life. Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Dimensions of visions
Visions have sizes:
o Some people's visions are one inch deep and one inch wide.
o Some people's visions are one inch deep one mile wide.
o Some people's visions are one mile deep one inch wide.
o Some people's visions are one mile deep one mile wide.

May I advise you: Your vision must be so big that you can swim in it.
Ezekiel 47:5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

The bigger your vision, the farther you can see, the deeper you can dig and the higher you can go.

Your vision and your faith are partners you need for progress.

Let me tell you about Vision killers
Vision killers are those persons or circumstances that conspired together:
I. To make your vision unfulfilled.
II. To bring you to nothing.
III. To make you fruitless.
IV. To make you live regretting.
V. To make you live counting your losses.
VI. To make you struggling and never recovering.

1. Vision killers can identify what a vision is, they know it from a distance. At least if you are sent to kill someone or something you will have to be able to identify the person.

2. Vision killers don't ever look for those who don't have vision, they look for those who have great visions, persons that they will reduce to nothing.

3. Whenever vision killers come, they attack wisely, violently, totally and mercilessly.

4. All vision killers have death as their ultimate goal.

• Adam had vision, the mandate God gave to him was so clear hat he could see great things in the earth beginning from the garden, the vision killer killed his vision.

• Abraham, Isaac and Jacob all had visions they faced vision killers.

• There was a vision Lot saw, he chose a well watered portion, but vision killers attacked him, he got rescued, hey attacked him again his wife became pillar of salt, his daughters became victims of in**st.

• Joseph had dreams great vision of the future. Vision killers first rose from his home, then in Potiphar’s house targeted him, but he escaped. Imagine Joseph falling for that woman.

• The Israelites in Egypt had great vision, the Egyptians counter the vision with a well laid plan.

• Samson had great vision and he was making great moves, but vision killers conspired together and brought him down.

Vision is:
Vision is when reality enters into a friendship of possibility with your heart and mind, presenting an amazing pleasant image that caught your attention, gives you perception, direction, passion and action.
For example:
1. You have cassava you have water, you know what water and cassava can achieve…..
2. You have water, you have gari, you know what water can do and what gari can do, you know what hot water can do to gari; vision is when these things you know begin to play video is your mind and you begin to see a setting, a setting of owo soup, banga soup, okro.

It is a companionship that gives birth to idea, imagination and creativity that gets you passionate to see it as it is in your hands, and until you see it you feel no rest.

What makes reality real is the word of God, the more of the word you have, the more alive your heart becomes and the more meaningful reality becomes, as God has set them in place, for, outside of God is only darkness.

When you are set with your vision, God is set for you.

Meaning of vision
• A vivid mental image. The formation of a mental image of something that is not perceived as real and is not present to the senses.

• Your dream of the future. There is a dream of the night, then there is a dream of the day, dream that makes you act. The idea that has found a place in your heart.
Like:
• When you compose or tell a story, and telling story is just part of you

• When you compose a song. and it is just part of you

• When you draw or paint a work of art.

• When you prepare a nice meal.

That is vision at work!

• When you say few words and everyone one laugh and forget their troubles.

• When you see through a challenge in your mind and you come out with a perfect solution.

• When you weave a pattern of something that is simply amazing.

• When you learn something and before long you get the picture almost as good as your teacher.

• When you see a way others are not seeing, because they to have a way of their own that they are seeing….

• When you could see through people and you have that God-given know how to lead people to greatness the title they attach to it may be…. Governor or President, doctor, engineer, Pastor, Graduate, Business giant etc. but the bottom line is that there is a VISION.

What brings the title is not how you are big or small, tall or Sharon, where you were born etc., but what you have seen.

• That is vision at work!

Vision is always amazing, it is the intricate design of what you do, that comes naturally.

When everybody is saying it is impossible.
When everybody is finding it extremely difficult.

To build your own house, buy your own car. To have your family.
To be used by God to do what no one else has ever done before.
To be the first graduate in your family.
To raise a business empire. To be a public speaker.

• Vision is the picture of your purpose, WHEN YOU HAVE DISCOVERED YOUR VISION, THAT IS WHEN YOUR PLAN WILL MAKE SENSE.

• ONE TERRIBLE THING that can happen to a person is for one to be successful in a wrong assignment.

• Vision is what you conceive in your spirit, in your inner man. Whatever you can conceive you can achieve.

Difference between sight and vision.
YOU CAN LOOK WITH YOUR EYES BUT PLEASE ALWAYS SEE WITH YOUR HEART. IN OTHER WORDS, EYE IS FOR LOOKING, THE HEART IS FOR SEEING.

Sight is a function of the eyes
Vision is a function of the heart.

How VISION comes
1. God gives vision
2. JESUS gives vision
3. Holy Spirit gives vision
The vision could be vision of the night, open vision in the day or through His word.
4. Vision can spring forth from within
5. Solution to a problem can come as a vision. Most times your purpose in life is your positive response to what is happening around you.
6. Others people's exploits can prompt vision.
Everybody has one!

There are three things: Tradition, Information and Revelation
• Tradition equips you through what has been. Some live in the realm of tradition.
• Information equips you through what is happening now. Some dwell in the realm of information.
• Revelation shows you what is ahead. Only few dwell in the realm of revelation
A. There are things tradition cannot give you.
B. There are things information cannot give.
You cannot overcome the devil with tradition or information.
You cannot overcome the world with tradition or information.
You cannot overcome the flesh with tradition or information.
C. Revelation give you every victory you need.

The power of vision
Behind every vision is a powerful propelling force that makes you work toward achieving your aim.
When your arrow is fired with God by your side you will hit your target.
Without vision you cannot plan, you cannot win.

“There is something God wants done that makes you necessary. He has done it and then made you to implement it.”

Tell someone “You are not here on experiment, you are here on assignment.”

Before God does something He gives it out as a vision, that is the road map to success. God told Moses to construct the Tabernacle according to the pattern He showed to him.

• Your success has a specific pattern. May be different from others.
• Your victory has a specific pattern.
• Your breakthrough has a specific pattern.
• Your future has a specific pattern.
It will take faith to get your vision from mental perception or image to reality.

Take Note about the power of vision.

o Your vision gives you a mission, and a mission is always more than a man.
o Your vision defines you, because your vision is your fruit. The mango fruit defines mango tree.
o Your vision is your value, your vision makes you.

o When you discover your vision, you don't need many people around you to feel good. YOUR VISION IS YOUR GOOD COMPANION, WHEN YOU ARE ALONE.

o YOUR VISION IS YOUR SUCCESS. IT IS THE PROMISE THAT, EVEN YOUR FAILURE IS DISCOVERY. At the end you will discover you have not made a mistake you have made a discovery.

o Vision is the key you need to open doors.

o VISION gives you a sense of meaning and direction in life.

o Vision makes you know what to do every day.

o Vision show you the dangers ahead.

o If you don't have vision, anything can push you around.

o Vision gives you passion that you need each day to wake up with eagerness.

o Vision makes you a disciplined person.

o Vision makes you confident

o The measure of your relevance is your vision.

When your vision becomes reality
• Joy fills your heart.
• No one sacks you or discourage you from it.
• People look for you.
• Money will hardly be a challenge.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:

IF VISION IS THIS IMPORTANT THEN IT IS THE TOTALITY OF A MAN.

YOU CANNOT KILL A MAN UNTIL YOU HAVE KILLED HIS VISION.
Whatever aims at killing your vision is ready to kill you.
Meaning, vision can be
1. Lost.
2. Misplaced.
3. Covered.
4. Buried.
5. Silenced.
6. Painted wrongly.
7. Hidden.

SOME Vision killers
1. What your eyes tell you. David looked at Goliath, but he saw victory.
If you are earning so little and you want to build a big house, definitely your eyes will tell you it is impossible
When you see the doctors report your eyes will tell you there is no way for you to be healed.

2. What you are called or named. Genesis 25:26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
The day Jacob was born, he was supposed to be called Israel or prince, but what happened on the day he was born clouded everybody and they gave him the wrong name. The circumstances around him was misunderstood.
Holding his brother's heel ought to have been interpreted as a sign for f victory but was seen as a supplanting.

3. Who you marry. Your spouse could either make your vision come to fulfillment of join your enemies to kill your vision.

4. Facing wrong direction. Some people placed Television before vision.
Some people have handset, and their hands are never set.
When you face the wrong direction, even if you are made the head you will be a headache.

5. Unwritten vision. Unwritten vision is soon forgotten, polluted and covered in dust. No one has memory strong enough to trap an unwritten vision.

6. Lack of plan. Your plan will make your life plain. God has a plan for you but you must have a plan for yourself.

7. Laziness. This is our problem in Africa.
The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. Proverbs 12:27

8. Ignorance and lack of knowledge. Nothing is new, someone has done what you want to do, someone has seen what you are seeing, someone has started what you want to start, only that they do not finish it, you can take off from where they stopped avoiding the mistakes they made and overtaking them.

9. Indiscipline. Your life must follow a particular pattern of discipline to have your vision accomplished.

10. Pride. Story of a Trader who bought breakable plates, he was making it in the business and was boasting of marrying a princess. In His dreaming he said he knows she will offend him one day and he will kick her with his leg, he by this push down the breakable plates and they shattered.

Revive your vision. Come back to God.

Father, destroy every resistance of hell against my good vision.
I break every grip of the strong man over my life.
I break the blindfolding spell on the people appointed to support my vision.

So, dear Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, Pastors, Engineers, fashion designer, Auto technicians, husbands, wives, children and everybody how come you now say you don’t have time to read? How come you no longer have time for what contributed to making you who you are? Have you been playing hypocrisy all along?

We have books all around us, you have books all around you, they speak your language, the ideas they contain don’t die.

Books are still being born every day, and they are still building people. They are there to build your children and your children’s children.

It might interest you that they are waiting for you to add to their population, they are waiting to welcome and celebrate your “Baby-book”.

A book is an offshoot of what someone has written, don’t you write? You do of course.
