The National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi on Thursday 23rd April, 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning as part of effort to ensure that the recommendations from the National Plan of Action (NPoA) from the 2nd Peer Review of Nigeria continue to be integrated into Nigeria's short and long term National Economic Plans.

The CEO was received by the Minister of State, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Hon Dr. Doris Anite Uzoka who assured him that the ministry will set up a joint team together with AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria to ensure proper integration and alignment of the NPoA into the National Plan which the next phase is expected to be rolled out soon.

Hon. Jabiru thanked and appreciated the Minister and assured her of the Agency's readiness to continue to partner the ministry and other relevant organizations in promoting Nigeria's economic growth and development.

*AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria to partner Ondo State Agricbusiness Empowerment Center to scale up Youth Empowerment in the State.*

The National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi has assured the team from Ondo State Agricbusiness Empowerment Center (OSAEC) led by its chairman Rotimi M. Akinsola, who paid him a working visit at the Agency's headquarters on Wednesday 22nd April, that the Agency will partner the center in scaling up Youth Empowerment in the State considering the Progress the Center has recorded.

The National Coordinator, who was represented by the Head of Planning, Research and Statistics, Mrs. Olubumi Oluwole gave the assurance after listening to the presentation and prayers of the team. He said the Center is already doing a lot but with AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria's intervention more successes would be recorded.

The CEO hinted that once intervention funds are available, Ondo State would be considered for the next batch of Small holders farmers Initiative project and other projects lined up for implementation in the Agency.

Earlier, the group had called for support to scale up in the various Agricultural value chain businesses it had engaged in as part of empowering the youth of the state.

They equally too advantage of the meeting to present documentary evidence of training and Empowerment done, as well as samples of organic fertilizer produced from the center to AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria and expressed readiness to collaborate with the Agency in the sales and distribution of the it across the nation.

The meeting had in Attendance some Management team including Head of PDI, Mrs. Fati Abubakar, Head of Audit, Mr. Ishola Emmanuel and Head of APRM, Comrade Rasheed Kareem while on the part of OSAEC those in attendance were Chief of Staff, Dr. Fela Mosaku, PS OSAEC Mrs. Kemi Akinyemi, Ondo State AUDA-NEPAD coordinator, Mr Falebita Kolawole, DPR&S, Mr. Ojo Bamidele amongst others.

AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria in collaboration with Nasarawa State Government on Thursday 16th April, 2026 Graduated 200 trainees from Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim vocational and Technology institute, Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The trainees who were given starter-packs and cash support received training in Carpentry & woodwork, hairdressing, Fashion designing, welder, Metal and fabrication, Make-up, Baking as well as tye and dye amongst others.

The National Coordinator, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi was represented by Head Programmes Development and Implementation Department, Mrs Fati Ibrahim. The Governor of Nasarawa State, H.E Engr. Abdullahi A Sule, the Deputy Governor, H.E Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, Deputy Speaker Nasarawa State house of Assembly, AUDA-NEPAD Nasarawa State coordinator, Commissioners and lots of other dignitaries were in attendance.

The National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Dr. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi Tsauri, has pledged full support to the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) following his investiture as an Ambassador and Patron.

The assurance was given on Tuesday, April 1, 2026, during a ceremony at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja. Dr. Tsauri stated that AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, as a gender-sensitive institution, would back LGAN’s hosting of over 30 African countries at the All African Challenge Trophy later this year, themed “Uniting Africa through the Greens.”

Earlier, LGAN President, Dr. Lami Onayi Ahmed, said the visit was to brief the CEO on the tournament, seek AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria’s support as Official Institutional Anchor, and invite him to contribute to its successful delivery.

The visit underscores growing collaboration between sports bodies and development institutions in advancing gender inclusion and continental unity through sports.

On 14 February 2026, AUDA-NEPAD and the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) convened a high-level working session attended by the National Coordinator/CEO AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, the Permanent Secretary representing the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, African First Ladies, the Secretary General of OAFLAD, the CEO of the African Peer Review Mechanism Continental Secretariat, and the wife of the President, ably represented by the wife of the Vice President.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration to advance human capital development through integrated programmes linking economic empowerment, youth development, health, education, and the prevention of gender-based violence. Participants agreed to finalize a partnership framework and develop a joint 2026 work plan to guide coordinated implementation at national and continental levels, reinforcing collective commitment to the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union, alongside African leaders and key stakeholders to advance the continent’s development agenda.

On the sidelines of the Summit, the NC/CEO attended the meeting of the African Peer Review Mechanism Forum of Heads of State and Government Implementation Committee (HSGIC), where discussions focused on strengthening governance, peer review processes, and enhancing member states’ commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable development across Africa.

AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria Records Successful 2026 Budget Defence at National Assembly

The African Union Development Agency – New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria) has successfully defended its 2026 budget proposal before the relevant Committees of the National Assembly. Leading the Agency’s delegation, the National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, outlined the Agency’s strategic priorities, capital investment needs, and institutional planning framework, all within the context of Nigeria’s commitments to Agenda 2063 and the National Programme of Action (NPoA).

The meeting also gave an opportunity for the appraisal of the performance of the previous year's budget cycle.

Members of the Joint Committee of the National Assembly commended AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria for its clarity, disciplined approach, and alignment with national and continental development priorities. The Lawmakers expressed strong understanding of the Agency’s mandate and affirmed their commitment to support the Agency in whatever way possible to strengthen its capacity and enhance effective programme delivery.

AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria NC/CEO Seeks Strategic Partnership with Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa on Development Initiatives

The National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, has called for strategic collaboration with Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a senior lawmaker, towards attracting and coordinating impactful development projects for the Agency.

The call was made on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, during a courtesy visit by Hon. Doguwa to the NC/CEO at the Agency’s headquarters.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Abdullahi outlined the mandate of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, emphasizing its role in coordinating development interventions in Nigeria in line with continental priorities. He noted that Hon. Doguwa’s extensive legislative experience, leadership roles in the National Assembly, and deep understanding of development policy and governance position him as a valuable partner in advancing the Agency’s development coordination efforts.

In his response, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa commended the NC/CEO for the transformational strides recorded in repositioning the Agency and pledged his support to collaborate in driving sustainable and people-centred development initiatives.
