Following an Emergency General Meeting which held today, 22 March 2019, to address the slew of scandalous materials attributed to CharlyBoy, and his subsequent public avowal to have engaged in amoral pecuniary dealings, the Movement has decided on the following:

Fellow Nigerians,
I wish to say that it has become extremely important that I react to the sordid developments that have recently emerged in the OurMumuDonDo Movement.
Firstly, I must confess that I am utterly disappointed by the audio recording that went viral between last night and this morning, of a conversation between the present Chairman of the group; Mr. Charles Oputa, and a former member, Mr. Deji Adeyanju, where the former is alleged to have confessed to his dealings with the regime of General Muhammad Buhari and the APC while the latter was languishing in Kano Central Prisons.
It is with a heavy and pertinent heart that I offer an unreserved apology, on behalf of myself and the other members of the OurMumuDonDo Movement, to the Nigerian people who we have hitherto proclaimed to represent in all our actions and activities as a pressure group for the last three years. My sincere hope is that you all will view this development as a necessary event needed to sanitise our civic space and reinvigorate our collective commitment to the struggle for social change.
Secondly, I must inform the general public that the OurMumuDonDo Movement will now commence a formal inquiry into the body of allegations that have been made public in recent days, and the most appropriate decision will be determined by the Board of Trustees in line with the group’s constitution.
In conclusion, I would like to emphasise that the purpose for which OurMumuDonDo Movement was founded has not changed. If there are black sheep in the group, working against the group’s objectives, we will find out and deal with them accordingly.
Thank You.

Adebayo Raphael
National Secretary, OurMumuDonDo Movement.

JUST THINKING: with the 2019 general elections now over, what advice do you have for this year's young candidates against 2023?
What should they do better? How should they prepare ahead?

Even Saudi Arabia has joined the against Nigeria😞😞
But who can blame them? We have made ourselves pawns on the world's chess board.

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE OMUDODU YOUTH FOUNDATION (OUR MUMU DON DO MOVEMENT)
The management of the Omudodu Youths Foundation officially acknowledges the resignation notice by Mr. Deji Adejanju circulated on social media on Wednesday March 13, 2019.
We commend Mr. Adeyanju’s passion and contributions since the inception of the Our Mumu Don Do movement. As change is the only constant in life, we respect his decision at this time to pursue his passion on defending human rights and demanding for good governance on a different platform. The organization wishes him all the best in future endeavours.
On the loss of confidence in the Chairman and convener of Our Mumu Don Do Movement, Mr Charles Oputa (Charly Boy), cited by Mr. Adeyanju as his reason for exiting the Movement, the Organization will be willing to review evidence to back these allegations and seek redress if substantiated.
The Our Mumu Don Do Movement has in recent times made deliberate and sustained efforts at restructuring the organization and repositioning it to achieve greater impact on the Nigerian polity through strategic engagements, structured advocacy and sustained citizens enlightenment for good governance, transparency and accountability.
We use this opportunity to re-iterate that the Our Mumu Don Do Movement is an initiative of the people, by the people, and for the people. Our focus and priority is to empower THE PEOPLE with requisite knowledge to be law-abiding as well as demand for accountability, transparency and good governance.
Our Mumu Don Do Movement is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-religious and de-tribalized movement in the pursuit of speaking truth to power and to all Nigerians regardless of socio-cultural, religious or political inclinations. We have hitherto been attacked on many fronts for this stance, but we remain unwavering in our resolve. The movement is guided by the principle that you cannot philosophize on morality and matters of truth without consistency. Therefore, we stay consistent and committed to our clearly-defined cause.
The above explains why the Movement has initiated and is currently driving the Nigerian Social Contract Initiative. This project seeks to raise the consciousness of citizens to the rights, duties and responsibilities that govern the exercise of political power in Nigeria – both by the people and by public officials.
The Nigerian Social Contract is a programmatic framework to transform Nigerian politics from an instrument of predation and violations of right citizenship to an instrument to entrench democratic accountability, freedom and prosperity.
The movement in the coming weeks will unveil activities and plans for grassroots enlightenment, capacity building for media and civil society as well as an engagement framework for key stakeholders on the Nigerian Social Contract.
The Our Mumu Don Do movement has not compromised and will never compromise its independence, its impartiality and its commitment to the Nigerian people!
God bless Nigeria and Nigerians.
Signed:
Mrs. Folake Agunbiade

Nigeria is presently in a very sensitive period. Emotions are high. Nerves are frayed. People are aggrieved, just as much as some others are satisfied with much of recent happenings, especially the outcome of last Saturday’s elections.
Well, the elections are not over yet. The governorship and states house of assemblies’ elections are still ahead. Next Saturday.
However, beyond elections, what does the future hold for Nigeria and Nigerians? After our new elected officials assume office, what will Nigeria become? Will we make progress, will we stay stunted, or will we retrogress?
The past few months were very active and engaging as countless political aspirants and candidates took their electioneering campaigns to the doorsteps of Nigerians.
They made promises. They canvassed for votes. Nigerians obliged. Now what next?
All over the world, societies have thrived and made progress only when the people have realized and owned their civic duty of holding their leaders accountable to their pre-election words and the demands of their offices. Public officials are public servants, men and women mandated by the people to serve them.
Everybody can’t be a leader, so we elect a few who promise to serve our collective interests and thrust us toward the future we all desire. It is a between the people and their leaders.
The people acknowledge their duties of being responsible citizens who uphold their civic demands of voting, paying taxes, being productive, and demanding transparency and accountability from their government. Whereas, the government undertakes to serve the people’s interests by delivering on their contract with the people who voted them.
This is why we launched the Nigerian to make Nigerians realize that . Beyond elections, every Nigerian (citizen and government official) has a duty to Nigeria.
The Nigerian is a culmination of series of consultation with Nigerian civil society, community and professional groups on how to reverse the deterioration of Nigeria’s democracy and the destruction of livelihood support systems in the country.
At these consultations, Nigerian civil society leaders, particularly young leaders, expressed deep disappointment and despair at the prospect of democratic governance that can deliver liberty, prosperity and peace for them.
These consultations have now resulted in a proposition for citizens who hold the key to the future of Nigeria. That key is democratic accountability.
The Nigerian establishes a framework for this accountability by defining rights, duties and responsibilities that govern the exercise of political power in Nigeria. We believe that Nigeria deserves better, and only with the concerted efforts of all Nigerians can we achieve that betterment, enjoy it, and bequeath same to our children.
This is a call to participate in a cause that the future will be grateful to you for. This is beyond 2019. It’s a journey. It is a marathon. But it has begun.
