Today, 4th October, 2026, being the first Sunday of October, I had a beautiful photo session with my amazing choir family of Royal House of Grace Int'l Church, Greenland Parish, Yenagoa.

It is always a joy and a blessing to serve God alongside these dedicated, talented and God-fearing men and women. Their commitment to the work of God is truly inspiring.

I appreciate every one of you. Together, we will continue to lift the name of Jesus higher.

To God be all the glory

Today, 3rd October, 2026, I joined other sons and daughters of Epie/Atissa Kingdoms at the Yenagoa Municipal Council Hall for the Lecture and Launch of the EPIE COMPREHENSIVE ENGLISH DICTIONARY by Sir Tovie Jacob Makbere.

It was a historic event themed "Our Language, Identity, Pride and Future", chaired by Distinguished Senator (Chief) Paulker Izibefien Emmanuel, CON.

As a woman and proud daughter of Epie/Atissa who, even as a Member of the State Assembly, still finds joy in voluntarily teaching our language at the Federal University Otuoke, this work means so much to me personally.

I know first-hand the challenge our students face due to lack of documented materials for teaching and learning our language. What my colleague, Sir Tovie Jacob Makbere, has done is therefore highly commendable. He has not only shown deep love for our culture, but has provided a vital academic resource that will help our students, teachers and researchers greatly.

I sincerely acknowledge and appreciate him for this intellectual contribution to Epie Nation.

At the same time, as a fellow academic, I understand that dictionaries are living documents. All over the world, dictionaries have different authors and different versions, and there is always room for improvement, additions and corrections. This first edition is a solid foundation upon which we can all build to further enrich and standardize our language.

I congratulate my colleague and celebrate this proud moment for all of us.

BAYELSA AT 30, NIGERIA AT 66: A MESSAGE OF HOPE AND GRATITUDE

My dear Leaders, Constituents, Family, Friends and Well-wishers,

As Bayelsa State marks 30 years of creation (1996-2026) and our great Nation Nigeria marks 66 years of Independence, I, Hon. Chief Ayibanegiyefa Egba, Member Representing Yenagoa Constituency I, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, join all Bayelsans and Nigerians in thanksgiving.

30 years ago, Bayelsa was carved out of hope. Today, we have grown from the creeks to become the Glory of All Lands. I salute our founding fathers, our past and present leaders especially His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri and His Excellency Dr. Peter P. Akpe, for steering our dear state with wisdom.

To my beloved constituents of Yenagoa Constituency I, you are my strength. Your love, prayers, and mandate keep me going. I do not take it for granted.

To my family, friends and well-wishers across Nigeria and Bayelsa, thank you for your unflinching support.

As we celebrate, let us remember that Bayelsa's best days are ahead. Let us build a more united, peaceful and prosperous Bayelsa within a stronger Nigeria.

Happy 30th Anniversary, Bayelsa State!
Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!
God bless Yenagoa Constituency I!
God bless Bayelsa State!
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Earlier today, Monday 28th September, 2026, I joined His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Pastor Peter Pereotubo Akpe, Deputy Governor, and other leaders of our state at the Chief D.S.P Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Yenagoa, for the Ijaw Language Awareness Campaign.

I commend the organizers for this timely campaign aimed at reviving and promoting our indigenous languages - Epie, Ijaw, Ogbia and Nembe.

I join all well-meaning Bayelsans to state clearly that language is the soul of a people. Without our language, we lose our heritage. Our children must be proud to speak Epie, Ijaw, Ogbia and Nembe at home, in schools and in public.

I join His Excellency in calling for collective action to save our languages from going into extinction as we mark Bayelsa @ 30. The government cannot do it alone. Parents, traditional rulers, schools and churches must all speak our languages.

As representative of Yenagoa Constituency I, home to Epie language, I join the campaign wholeheartedly and pledge my continued legislative support to make our indigenous languages compulsory in our basic education curriculum.

Let us speak our language. Let us preserve Bayelsa.

Today, Sunday, 27th September, 2026, I had the honour of worshipping with the Government and people of Bayelsa State at the King of Glory Chapel, Government House, Yenagoa, during the inter-denominational thanksgiving service ushering in the 30th anniversary of our state.

The service provided an opportunity to reflect on Bayelsa's 30-year journey since its creation on October 1, 1996. We must all admit, we have made progress. Bayelsa of today is not Bayelsa of 1996.

I align with the position of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, ably represented by His Excellency, Pastor Peter Pereotubo Akpe, Deputy Governor, that this milestone calls for deep thanksgiving and collective introspection.

Guest preacher, Pastor Kontei Krinya, in his sermon "Help From God" (Isaiah 6, Judges 5), reminded us that every man needs help and that divine help is superior to human help. As we celebrate 30 years, Bayelsa must continue to depend on God for peace and accelerated development.

The scorecard presented is encouraging - internal roads, opening of multiple gateways into Yenagoa, deliberate completion of abandoned projects and reaching over 85% of communities with projects since 2020. It affirms that the prosperity mantra is not just a slogan - it is prudence, continuity and judicious use of our commonwealth.

On behalf of the good people of Yenagoa Constituency I, I congratulate Bayelsa and pledge my unflinching support to the Prosperity Administration to move Bayelsa to greater heights.
