Cool weather + irrigation = perfect chance to grow potatoes when market prices are high.

Steps:

1. Start small: ¼ hectare group trial.

2. Select land: Elevated, loamy soil with good drainage.

3. Prepare soil: Add compost; test pH (5–6 ideal).

4. Use healthy seeds: Heat-tolerant types like Diamant or Nicola.

5. Plant early Nov: 30 cm × 1 m spacing on ridges.

6. Irrigate well: Use drip/sprinkler; keep soil moist, not soaked.

7. Fertilize right: NPK or organic manure for strong growth.

8. Mulch & hill: Retains moisture, keeps soil cool.

9. Protect crops: Control pests/diseases early.
