🎓 THE DIGITAL RECTOR, ATTENDS CAREER SERVICES TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR FINAL YEAR STUDENTS AT THE MAIN CAMPUS, ZUNGERU.

The Digital Rector of Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, Amb. Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, PhD, today attended the two-day TETFund-sponsored Career Services Training Workshop for final year students, held at the Multi Purpose Hall, Main Campus, Zungeru.

The Digital Rector warmly welcomed members of the Polytechnic Management, staff, students, and officials of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to the important programme.

He expressed profound appreciation to TETFund for sponsoring the initiative, describing it as a valuable intervention that demonstrates the importance attached to preparing students not only for academic success but also for meaningful participation in the world of work, entrepreneurship, and professional development.

In his address, the Rector highlighted several important areas covered by the workshop, including:

📌 Career paths and opportunities
📌 Effective CV/resume and cover-letter writing
📌 Networking strategies
📌 Interview techniques and mock interviews
📌 Job-search tools and career resources
📌 Panel discussions with industry professionals
📌 The role of the Polytechnic in preparing students for the future.

The Digital Rector charged the final year students to approach the workshop with seriousness, openness, and a determination to learn. He reminded them that graduation is not the end of learning; rather, it is the beginning of another important phase of learning, discovery, and professional development.

He encouraged the students to embrace every opportunity to acquire knowledge, build meaningful networks, develop relevant skills, and prepare themselves for the competitive world beyond the classroom.

Also speaking, the TETFund facilitator, Dr. Stevens, encouraged the students to take the workshop seriously and make the most of the knowledge and practical guidance being provided, noting that the lessons would be valuable in shaping their career journeys after graduation.

In her closing remarks, the Director, Career Services Centre (CSC), Dr. Agnes Nneshetu Oyetunji, urged all final-year students to take full advantage of the golden opportunity and pay close attention to the lessons that would benefit them after graduation.

She expressed appreciation to the Digital Rector, Polytechnic Management, staff, students and TETFund officials for their support and commitment towards making the workshop a success.

The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

NIGER STATE POLYTECHNIC ZUNGERU MOURNS THE DEATH OF 37 MINERS IN MINNA...

The Digital Rector of Niger State Polytechnic Zungeru, Amb. Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, has expressed deep sadness and heartfelt condolences following the tragic death of 37 artisanal miners in Minna, Niger State.

The Rector, on behalf of the Management, Staff and Students of Niger State Polytechnic Zungeru, extends sincere condolences to the Farmer Governor of Niger State, His Excellency, Umaru Muhammed Bago, the Government and good people of Niger State, and most especially the families, relatives and loved ones of the deceased.

The loss of these precious lives is a painful reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of strengthening safety measures for those who work tirelessly to contribute to the development and prosperity of our communities.

At this difficult moment, the Polytechnic stands in solidarity with the bereaved families and the entire people of Niger State. May God grant the departed eternal rest, comfort the grieving families, and give the state the strength to overcome this painful loss.

May their memories remain a blessing, and may this tragedy inspire renewed commitment to the safety and protection of every worker.

NIGER STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION, ON OVERSIGHT VISIT TO NIGER STATE POLYTECHNIC ZUNGERU.

The Management of Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, warmly received the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Hon. Muhammed Sani Idris, and members of his committee at the Council Chamber of the Main Campus, Zungeru.

The Chief Host of the occasion, the Digital Rector, Amb. Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, welcomed the Honourable Members and gave a comprehensive briefing on the institution’s journey so far, highlighting its remarkable achievements, ongoing transformation, and some of the challenges affecting the Polytechnic.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Sani Idris, commended the Management, staff, and students of Niger State Polytechnic Zungeru, for their unity, cooperation, discipline, and the impressive level of development witnessed during the visit.

He described the structure and facilities of the institution as being among the best in the state.

The Chairman further applauded the Digital Rector, Amb. Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora for his outstanding leadership and commitment to transforming Niger State Polytechnic into a modern institution of learning, innovation, skills development, and academic excellence.

As part of the visit, the Chairman and members of the committee embarked on an inspection tour of the institution, where they visited various facilities and projects to assess the level of development and infrastructure on ground.

The visit stands as a significant moment of recognition and encouragement for the Polytechnic community.

The Digital Rector of Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, Amb. Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, PhD, paid an unexpected visit to the Polytechnic’s Minna Branch, demonstrating once again that true leadership is built on presence, accessibility, and genuine concern for the people.

The Digital Rector of Niger State Polytechnic Zungeru, Amb. Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, PhD, today graced the wedding Fatiha of the beloved daughter of the Polytechnic’s Acting Registrar, Mal. Umar Abubakar Madaki, held at Fadan Dagacin Zungeru.

The occasion brought together family members, friends, colleagues, traditional leaders, and well wishers to celebrate the beautiful beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the newlyweds.

The Digital Rector extended his heartfelt congratulations to the families, praying Almighty Allah to bless the union with love, peace, understanding, prosperity, and abundant righteous offspring.
