Preserving the Tibetan Buddhist culture, the land of Upper Mustang is a hidden gem consisting of beautiful landscapes. Until 1992, foreigners were not allowed into the territory since it was a limited demilitarized area. After it was open for newcomers, many hiking and trekking trails to places like Jomsom Muktinath, Damodar K***a were discovered. Located in the northern part of Nepal near the Nepal-Tibet border, the location receives thousands of tourist every year via trekking or helicopter flight. Upper Mustang, also better known as the Last Forbidden Kingdom, is a true visual representation of Shangrila– Heaven on Earth. The capital of Upper Mustang is Lo Manthang, where you can get a feel of Tibet in Nepal. Our helicopter tour is accessible for anyone, specially those who have a limited time to travel in Nepal but would enjoy indulging a few hours in witnessing Mustangs magnificent beauty. In this helicopter tour, you will witness the aerial view of both Upper and Lower Mustang. Upper Mustang is relatively remote and consists of mostly dry lands, caves, and deserts. Most of the old Buddhist monasteries that you will see in this area were built in 11th century- displaying the ancient history, paintings, and artifacts. You can also look around the Royal Palace in Lo Manthang (the only walled city in Nepal) that is over 600 years old. Whereas, Lower Mustang has more cultivable lands, vegetations, hospitality services, bigger communities, developed infrastructure, Hindu influence, with a dominant population of Thakali people.

The first starting point is Pokhara city, from where you can see the mesmerizing aerial views of the lakes, green hills, the snowcapped tall mountains– all while witnessing the gradual transition from the sea level to the high altitude Himalayas. The second city is Kathmandu, from where the tour will require an additional hour of travel time, solely for flying in and out of Kathmandu to Pokhara. While flying with us, you can testify the stunning views of the Himalayan range that covers Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Tukuche Peaks, along with the Kaligandaki River. You are in for a breathtaking heli ride, covering all plain-lands, rivers, hills, and mountains.
