Introduction

Mr. Ramendra Paudel, born on 2nd Magh 2039 (15th January 1982), has dedicated his life to human service, striving to make a significant impact in the lives of helpless, sick, and poor children. From an early age, he was inspired by philanthropic values and a deep sense of humanity. He committed himself to the welfare of those in need, particularly children who lacked care and support. As a child, he continuously struggled to assist poor and helpless children.

One day, Mr. Paudel found a baby crying alone on the road. Upon approaching, he discovered that the baby had no one to care for them. On that day, he resolved to dedicate his life to the protection and well-being of poor and helpless children. Despite facing numerous social and economic challenges, he remained undeterred in his mission.

Father Ramendra has been successful in raising infants and children who became orphaned for various reasons, coming from different backgrounds, communities, and classes. He has instilled high moral values, creativity, and good culture in the children. The children have developed a deep love, attachment, and positive feelings toward the Upakar family and Father Ramendra. Through his efforts, he has provided them with a family environment, helping them lead well-respected lives while promoting their all-around development.

In the initial stages, Mr. Ramendra Paudel established the Upakar Family in 2000 AD with the help of people who shared his vision of human service and social welfare. This orphanage was established in a rural area, as most orphanages are located in cities, which makes it difficult for poor, helpless, and illiterate people to access them. The Upakar Family was set up with the aim of preserving the dignity and pride of the children while helping them become part of the national development process. Father Ramendra, who heads the Upakar Family, nurtures a group of children with love, care, and a family environment. Additionally, the local community also benefits from various programs conducted by the Upakar Family.

With donated land and a building, the Upakar Family was established in 2000 AD. The children receive education from a nearby school. This place has been recognized and inaugurated by the Nepalese government, and it is regarded as a sacred institution.
