It was great to see some of our Pukekohe High School doing a great job at the young enterprise scheme. Here are three interviews from today and I'll be sharing more on Monday and Tuesday so check back again then and let's all get behind our amazing rangatahi entrepreneurs.
If you would like to get in touch with any of the businesses send me a PM and I'll pass it on at school.

Matt Brachi for Labour Port Waikato
Labour Candidate and proud Port Waikato local. Dedicated to listening and enabling meaningful change in our community.
Authorised by Rob Salmond, 2 Gilmer Tce, Wellington.
As an educator, it is great to see young people getting the opportunity to showcase their talents in our community thanks to Auckland Council's "Sounds of Tamaki Makaurau" which was held today.
Another showcase oportunity is the Franklin's Got Talent 2026 Finale at Buckland Hall on 20 June, also sponsored by Auckland Council. I am told tickets will go on sale next week. www.bucklandhall.nz/talent.
I was at the NZTA community information day this morning finding out what the transport plans mean for those of us living in the Port Waikato electorate.
Do you have something you would like to chat about?
I am keen to hear from everyone!

This will be Nicola Willis' last budget and here's why ....
Nicola Willis' latest cuts will be felt in every community including here in Port Waikato. Longer waits. People missing out. New Zealand can’t afford another three years of this.
National will cut your job. Labour will protect it.
This is not acceptable.
We cannot allow more cuts that affect our already stretched and overworked frontline services.

As a high school teacher, I whole-heartedly agree that this change WILL adversely affect even MORE of our students who already face socio-economic learning barriers!
We must do more to help them NOT put up more barriers.
Here’s what Erica Stanford isn’t telling us about her changes to NCEA:
