Petro Bulevah is unlike other farmers from central Pentecost who practiced traditional methods of their ancestors to plant crops, such as taros and yams.

In 2004, Bulevahka left Port Vila after working over five years with a logging company, hoping to earn enough to improve his family’s living condition, and returned to his home village of Kindnip near the Batnapni area.
