2024 happenings- the Valupai Catholic Secondary School Teacher's Duplex homes. The School will take its first intake this year 2025. Thanks to the vision of our Honourable Member Freddie Reu Kumai for the school establishment.

Talasea District Hospital on my mind. Project Steering Committee 2nd Meeting at Holiday Inn on the Kimbe Referral Hospital. Talasea District Hospital when completed will be referring patients that are beyond their capacity to Kimbe Referral Hospital.

National Population Census 2024. Talasea District Development Authority Board approved K100 000 to fund the Census activities in Talasea District. The chairman of the TDDA Board Honourable Member for Talasea Honourable Freddie Reu Kumai officially announced this at a special Board Meeting held on Saturday 15th, June,2024. Each of the three LLGs were funded thus, Bali/Vitu RLLG K20 000 and Kimbe Urban and Talasea Rural LLG each receives K 40 000. The National Population Census begins on the 17th June and ends on the 30th June,2024.

The official opening of the Double Classroom at Komavavo Primary School on Monday 13th May was a joyous moment to the village and the school children alike. The classroom was funded by the Talasea District Development Authority and officially opened by the Talasea MP Honourable Freddie Reu Kumai. He presented a K150 000 cheque to Dami Primary and Liapo Primary School respectively. The two new school s in Ward 8. The member was accompanied by the Talasea DDA CEO Mr. Melchior Cyril Babo and his Administration staff and the President of Talasea Rural LLG Mr. John Rova.

Empowering our Father's Group of Garu CPC with Lucas Mill on Sunday 22nd October 2023. Our Action Member Freddie Reu Kumai presented the Mobile Sawmill to help the community in building infrastructures to improve their living Standards. He announced the establishment of a Police Post to monitor movements of people from other parts of PNG using the the village as a port of entry into the province The Garu Village road to Garu Plantation will be improved next year.
