PNG Cocoa Festival

Cocoa is a K300 million industry in PNG. It supports more than 150,000 households and provides income for at least 20 per cent of the population who are smallholder farmers.

The Cocoa Board of Papua New Guinea who manage policy and industry pertaining to cocoa as an industry crop bi-annually runs the Cocoa of Excellence Festivals.

The First inaugural event was the ‘PNG Cocoa Warwagira’ hosted in Kokopo, East New Britain in May 2017. The Second National of Cocoa of Excellence event will be hosted in Lae, Morobe Province
