𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐏 𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖: 𝐀 𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐏 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐊 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒

Look at East and West Sepik today. For years, our brothers and sisters there quietly cleared land, planted cocoa seedlings, and sweated under the sun. Many people laughed or looked for quick, easy money. But the Sepik people stayed patient. They invested their time, land, and energy into long-term agricultural development.

Today, global cocoa prices are at historic highs. Because Sepik prepared yesterday, they are enjoying massive financial rewards today! Trucks are being bought, permanent houses are being built, and school fees are paid with ease. They did not wait for handouts; they created their own wealth through the soil.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐩 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞

We, the people of Lagaip, must wake up and change our mindset today.

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝘆:
Do not live just for today’s stomach. Quick cash, temporary pleasures, and handouts vanish in seconds.
Invest in our soil: Our land is our greatest asset. Whether it is coffee, potato farming, or new cash crops, we must start planting heavily now.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
True wealth takes time to grow. We must endure the hard work today so our children can enjoy high prices and economic freedom tomorrow.

Let us stop expecting to eat and live only for the moment. Let’s get back to the land, work hard, and secure a prosperous future for Lagaip!

Dear Lagaip NextGen Family,

Leadership isn’t just about who sits in the political office—it’s about what we, the young generation, do daily to build our communities. For too long, our online forums have been filled with political arguments that leave our people divided.

It’s time to change the narrative. If we want a prosperous Lagaip, we must focus our energy on three powerful pillars of independent growth:

𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗣 𝗔𝗧 𝗔 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗦: 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗚𝗘𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗?

With the Supreme Court recently upholding the decision for a fresh by-election, Lagaip is once again in the national spotlight. But as the "NextGen," we must ask: Are we just going to repeat the same cycles of the past?

For too long, our district has been held back by tribal conflict and political instability. We have a massive gold mine on our doorstep and a hard-working population, yet basic services still struggle to reach our rural wards.

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬:

1. Should we stop looking for "Big Men" with deep pockets and start looking for technical leaders with clear policy plans?

2. How can we, the youth, ensure this next election is about policy and progress, not bribery and intimidation?

3. What is the one "must-have" project for Lagaip in the next 5 years?
