Our staff manning the booth at the PNG Investment Week at the ICC, in Sydney Australia. Land Commission has participsted in this event since 2023 with our booth set up for the second time this year. Been a great opportunity to conduct asareness on our roles snd responsibilities on specific land issues. Looking forward to when land becomes an integral part of the agenda.

The Land Commission was proud to be a sponsor of the 44th Pacific Islands Law Officers Network (PILON) Annual Meeting hosted here at APEC Haus by the Law and Justice Sector and managed by the Department of Justice and Attorney. Congratulations to the Secretary for Justice, and Chair of the 44th PILON, Dr. Eric Kwa, PhD, fir successfully hosting it.

Our Chief Commissioner finally signed his Contract of Employment on Tuesday 25th November 2025 in the presence of the Governor General and the Secretary for Department of Personnel Management. Although it has taken 1 year and 5 months since his gazetted appointment, things have progressed smoothly, such as the approved structure of 98 positions, going cheque-less, operating IFMS from cloud-based server, conduct of hearings for over 200 matters for 3 provinces, and with the migration of DJAG staff into the new approved structure for the Land Commissio, we are now set for advertisement of 32 priority positions, using a new AI generated software application for recruitment. Join us as new innovative leaders for the next 50+ years. We are a new program and we are delivering, not just talking and wasting years of unacquitted funding.

Land Commission is proud to be a sponsor of the Governance Program at FM100 as part of celebrating the 50th Independence Anniversary. We've been participating in the Talkback Show and it has been an awesome experience. We are grateful to FM100 management and look forward to continuing next year.

Looking forward to this year's Investment Week in Sydney again.Land matters are essential issues that need addressing too but have not yet been given due consideration as yet. We are still participating and making inroads into strategic partnership arrangements. There's great news coming out soon on the Gobe Petroleum Project landownership issue and the K92 Gold Project wil be ready to start off early next year.
