Kapansin-pansin din na patuloy na lumalawak ang bagyo habang binabaybay ang mainit na karagatan ng Philippine Sea.
Inaasahang magiging SUPER TYPHOON Category pa ang bagyo bago tuluyang mag-landfall sa bahagi ng sa weekend.

The center of Typhoon OFEL was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Santa Teresita, Cagayan (18.3°N, 121.9°E).
Intensity:
Maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 255 km/h, and central pressure of 955 hPa
Present Movement:
North northwestward at 15 km/h

The center of Typhoon OFEL was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Gonzaga, Cagayan (18.2°N, 122.0°E).
Intensity:
Maximum sustained winds of 165 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 275 km/h, and central pressure of 950 hPa
Present Movement:
West northwestward at 20 km/h

The center of the eye of the Typhoon was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Baggao, Cagayan. Itbhad a maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 240 km/h, and central pressure of 945 hPa. It is moving west northwestward at 20 km/h. Strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 360 km from the center.

Huling namataan ang sentro nito sa layong 135 km Northeast ng Echague, Isabela. Taglay nito ang lakas ng hangin na umaabot sa 185 km/h malapit sa gitna at pagbugso na 230 km/h. Kumikilos ito pakanluran hilagang kanluran sa bilis na 15 kph.

The southern portion of Apayao (Conner, Kabugao), Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, the northern portion of Benguet (Buguias, Mankayan, Bakun), the southern portion of Ilocos Norte (Laoag City, Sarrat, San Nicolas, Piddig, Marcos, Nueva Era, Dingras, Bacarra, Solsona, Paoay, Currimao, Pinili, Badoc, City of Batac, Banna), and Ilocos Sur.

Earlier today, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Villaviciosa, chaired by Hon. Jose W. Lagen Jr., conducted a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) in light of Typhoon Nika (𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐈) as the central and southern portions of Abra are placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 4.
The PDRA meeting brought together key council members, responders, and stakeholders to assess the potential impacts of the typhoon on local communities, critical infrastructure, and lifelines.
Emphasis was placed on enhancing readiness measures, ensuring evacuation protocols, and mobilizing resources to provide rapid response and relief for potentially affected areas. Hon. Lagen highlighted the importance of proactive, coordinated actions to safeguard the well-being and resilience of residents in Villaviciosa.
