In today's flag-raising ceremony, June 8, 2026, the Municipal Government of Agoo formally acknowledged the newly-installed commander of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Sub Station Agoo, LTJG Marimar G. Yaris, and newly-appointed Municipal Budget Officer, Ms. Mary Ann E. Simsiman.

LTJG Yaris was also given a moment to express her gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of collaboration between PCG and the local government in ensuring the safety and welfare of the community, particularly in protecting and safeguarding the municipality's coastal areas.

The LGU, under the leadership of Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, welcomes both officials as they begin their respective duties and looks forward to their contributions in advancing the betterment of Agoo and better services to all Kailian. 💚

In view of the observation of Independence Day on June 12, 2026, declared regular holiday, please be informed that work in all offices of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Agoo will temporarily revert to the regular office hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from June 8-11, 2026.

Departments or offices providing health, disaster response, security, and other essential services remains on their regular operating hours.

The Compressed Workweek schedule, 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM (Mon-Thu) will resume on June 15.

San Roque West, isang natatanging mag-aaral ng President Elpidio Quirino National High School (PEQNHS), ang ating mga Kailian na benepisyaryo ng DSWD Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) na nagsisilbing inspirasyon at patunay sa malaking tulong ng programa upang masuportahan ang edukasyon at pangangailangan ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino.

As another school year begins, the Agoo SK Federation remains committed to supporting our students through the “Edu Support – Handog Suporta para sa Balik Eskwela 2026” program.

Office supplies for the youth were distributed to 12 high schools in Agoo to help learners start the year prepared and inspired.

This initiative would not have been possible without the support of Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, Vice Mayor Antonio Eslao, the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and all SK Chairpersons from the different barangays of Agoo led by SK Federation President Rosephine Gwyneth Cortez.

Together, we continue to invest in the education and future of the Kabataang Agoeños. 💚

The Local Government Unit of Agoo, through the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and Agoo District Jail, recently received awards, presented at today's traditional flag-raising ceremony, for their continued commitment to responsive public service and meaningful community initiatives.

Last May 25, 2026, the Office of the Governor of La Union awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the LGU Agoo – MAO, headed by Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Samuel Villanueva, for its support and contribution during the celebration of “Bulan ti Mannalon ken Manggalap.” The award reflects the municipality’s commitment to supporting local farmers and strengthening the agricultural sector in the community.

Meanwhile, on May 26, 2026, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) - Agoo District Jail, under JSINSP Dondon V. Ocampo received a Certificate of Recognition for its initiative entitled “AI-KALINGA: Integrated AI-assisted Welfare and Development Ecosystem for Persons Deprived of Liberty.” The project was recognized for its innovative and effective approach in improving programs and services for persons deprived of liberty and for helping promote more responsive and efficient jail service delivery.

JSINSP Ocampo and his personnel also gifted the LGU a handcrafted podium by the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) of Agoo District Jail, a gesture of collaboration and community rehabilitation.

These recognitions serve as an inspiration for the municipality to continue strengthening programs and initiatives that promote innovation, development, and quality public service for the people of Agoo. 💚
