Ang EDSA ay hindi lamang alaala ng nakaraan—isa itong sigaw na patuloy na umuukit sa kasalukuyan. Isa itong panawagan na hindi kailanman napipi. At kung pakikinggan nang mabuti, maririnig pa rin ang yabag ng milyun-milyong tumindig, ang tibok ng pusong hindi nagpasakop.

Minsan, hinarap ng taumbayan ang diktadura, pang-aabuso, at sukdulang kurapsyon. Hindi sila nanahimik. Hindi sila umurong. Sa harap ng dahas at pananakot, pinili nilang lumaban. Pinili nilang maging matapang. Pinili nilang maging malaya.

At ngayon, sa kabila ng mga pagtatangkang baluktutin ang kasaysayan at burahin ang katotohanan, hindi tayo papayag. Hindi mabubura ang alaala. Hindi matitinag ang paninindigan. Hindi tayo makakalimot—at hindi na muli!

Buhay ang diwa ng EDSA. Buhay ang laban para sa demokrasya at dignidad. Tuloy ang pakikibaka laban sa pang-aapi at pagsisinungaling. Sapagkat ang EDSA ay hindi lamang lugar—ito ay kapangyarihan ng mamamayan.
