The Livelihood Orientation for the Assessment and Implementation of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) was successfully conducted earlier today in Barangay Tigum, Buruanga.

A Welcome Message was delivered by Barangay Captain Hon. Nonito B. Magsipoc, who warmly welcomed the participants and guests. A message was also delivered on behalf of the LGU–Buruanga headed by Mayor Allan P. Dagohoy by Sir Jerry F. Dagohoy.

The orientation proper was facilitated by Ms. Bianca Flor Hernando (LEO II) from DOLE, who discussed the assessment and implementation process of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
Also present during the activity were representatives from DOLE:
• Christian Abigail Seraspi – Livelihood and Development Specialist (LDS)
• Andreilla Remegio – Livelihood and Development Specialist (LDS)

Representing the PESO Office was PESO Manager Designate Flora E. Nillasca together with Ric Jones L. Estuya, Divina P. Rotaquio, and Romnick C. Candolita.

The activity aims to provide guidance and information to the participants regarding livelihood opportunities and the implementation of the program in the community.

TUPAD ORIENTATION AND CONTRACT SIGNING – SECOND BATCH

On March 10, 2026, the Second Batch of TUPAD Orientation and Contract Signing was successfully conducted at the Tennis Court, Poblacion, Buruanga, Aklan.

In behalf of Mayor Allan P. Dagohoy, the Welcome Message was delivered by Sir Jerry F. Dagohoy, who shared an encouraging message for the TUPAD beneficiaries and reminded them to value the opportunity given through the program.

Present during the activity was the TUPAD Coordinator of Buruanga, Ms. Justine D. Zubiaga, together with Sir Jonel D. Mamburam and Ma’am Jennelyn P. Manucan, TUPAD Coordinators from DOLE–Aklan, who provided the orientation and guidance to the beneficiaries regarding the TUPAD program.

Also present during the activity was PESO Manager-Designate Ma’am Flora E. Nillasca, who facilitated the program together with the PESO staff: Romnick Candolita, Divina Otaquio, and Ric Jones Estuya.

The activity aimed to orient the beneficiaries and ensure the proper signing of contracts as part of the implementation of the TUPAD Program, providing temporary employment and support to the community.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT PROGRAM (CDSP)

On February 26, 2026, the Career Development Support Program (CDSP) was conducted at Buruanga National High School, located in Panilongan, Buruanga, Aklan. The activity aimed to guide students in planning their future careers and understanding labor market opportunities.

The session was facilitated by the PESO Team:
Flora E. Nillasca – PESO Manager-Designate
Ric Jones – PESO Staff
Romnick Candolita – PESO Staff

The program started with a welcome message from Sir Philip M. Malandac, who warmly welcomed the PESO team and encouraged the students to actively participate in the activity.

Sir Allan D. Casuncad also shared an inspiring story about the Pagong and the Matsing, reminding the students about the values of wisdom, patience, and making good decisions in life.

A special highlight of the program was the presence of Mayor Allan P. Dagohoy. Despite his busy schedule, Mayor Dagohoy made time to attend the CDSP and share an inspiring message to the students. He emphasized the importance of education, determination, and hard work in reaching their dreams.

Mayor Dagohoy also showed his strong support for the youth by attending the CDSP activities in all four schools in Buruanga, giving his time to inspire not only the students but also the teachers.

The PESO team also acknowledged and thanked the teachers of Buruanga National High School for taking time to listen and support the activity.

This activity was conducted in behalf of Ma’am Nina Maer P. Quimpo, Head Teacher I, showing the school’s commitment in preparing students for their future careers.

The Municipality of Buruanga successfully conducted the DOLE TUPAD Orientation and Contract Signing for beneficiaries from the 15 barangays, held at the Tennis Court, Poblacion, Buruanga, Aklan.

We sincerely thank the representatives from DOLE, especially Ms. Grechelle T. Villaranca – DOLE TUPAD Focal, and Ms. Justine D. Zubiaga – TUPAD Coordinator of Buruanga, for providing guidance and orientation to the beneficiaries.

The Welcome Message on behalf of Municipal Mayor Allan Dagohoy was delivered by Mr. Ariel D. Chavez – Private Secretary, while Sir Jerry Dagohoy from the Mayor’s Office also helped facilitate the program.

Even though the Mayor was not personally present, his support for initiatives that benefit the community is strongly felt. The beneficiaries from the 15 barangays are truly fortunate to be part of this program that provides temporary employment and assistance.
