Eighty two (82) students of the Colegio de la Ciudad de Tayabas (CCT) prepare for their engagement with the DSWD’s Tara Basa! Tutoring Program that will start this May 2025.

In a session with the said students last March 3, the DSWD through its Field Office IV-A, oriented the students on the policies of the program, including their roles and responsibilities in its successful implementation.

Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from Guinayangan, Quezon are grateful for the PhP 450,000 seed capital fund awarded to them last February 18, 2025 under the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

These beneficiaries, organized into three SLP associations by the DSWD in 2024, received PhP 150,000 per association to start their chosen microenterprises to enable them to earn additional income for their families.

From begging for small change in the streets of Pasig City, Criselle Caliwara is operating their own small business of selling street foods back in her hometown in Montalban, Rizal.

Last February 12, Criselle and her family received a PhP 80,000 livelihood assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Field Office IV-A.

Aizely Villarico, one of the project development officers of Field Office IV-A under the Pag-Abot Program, reported that the since opening their business, the Caliwara family are already earning income which they use to respond to their basic needs

Sa bayan ng Ibaan, Batangas, buong-pagmamalaking ibinahagi ni Maria Fe Revilla, isang benepisyaryo at parent leader ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) na ngayon ay nakakatulong na ang kanilang samahan sa mga kapwa-benepisyaryo ng programa habang tumutulong rin sa kanilang komunidad.

Ang Ibaan Parent Association, na binubuo ng mga benepisyaryo ng 4Ps, ay nagkaisa na magsimula ng proyekto kung saan sila ay nangongolekta ng mga basurang tetra packs at bottle caps. Ang mga basurang ito ay kanilang nililinis at ibinebenta.

Ayon kay Maria Fe, nitong nakaraang Marso 1 ay nakapaghatid na sila ng kaunting tulong-pinansyal sa mga kapwa nila benepisyaryo ng 4Ps na nawalan ng minamahal sa buhay.

Para kay Maria Fe at kanilang mga kasamahan sa asosasyon, ang ganitong uri ng proyekto ay bunga ng mga payo at aral mula sa 4Ps partikular sa pagtulong sa kapwa at pagkakaroon ng kamalayan sa komunidad na ginagalawan. A total of 840 families from Nasugbu, Batangas graduated as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in a graduation ceremony last February 27, 2025.

These families are those who were assessed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development to have improved their level of well-being and achieved self-sufficiency status through the social welfare and development indicator (SWDI) tool assessment.

A total of 1,489 senior citizens in Quezon, Quezon received cash assistance under the DSWD’s Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens through the distribution facilitated by the local government in 24 barangays last February 27, 2025.

Each senior citizen received PhP 3,000 or equivalent to PhP 1,000 per month covering the first quarter of 2025.

The financial assistance under the Social Pension Program is provided by the DSWD as an additional support for the needs of indigent senior citizens for their basic needs such as food and medications. [with reports from RDBristol]

Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Tagkawayan, Quezon start using the i-Registro in the updating of their families’ information to start availing the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) cash grants under the program.

Last February 25, a total of 120 parent leaders from the said town were oriented on the i-Registro and the F1KD cash grants in the 4Ps.

The i-Registro is an online platform being introduced by the DSWD to help eligible 4Ps beneficiaries to update the status of their households online, instead of the usual manual updating process. The updating of the status of households, particularly of pregnant and children zero to 24 months, is a requirement prior to receiving the F1KD cash grants. [with reports from EUDiscaya]

Para sa Pamilya Enero ng Gumaca, Quezon, isang malaking tagumpay ang maging isa sa mga pamilya na naka-graduate na sa 4Ps. Ayon kay Nanay Jasmin, ang pag-graduate sa 4Ps ay nangangahulugan na wala na sila sa hanay ng mga pinakamahihirap na pamilya sa kanilang lugar.

Kung kaya’t buong-pusong nagagalak ang kanilang pamilya sa pagtatapos ng kanilang pagiging benepisyaryo ng programa ngayong taon.

Dagdag pa ni Nanay Jasmin, hindi pa man nila masasabing sobrang matagumpay na ang kanilang buhay, ngunit kahit papaano ay malayo na sila mula sa dating walang maayos na bahay at walang maayos na pinagkukunan ng kita.

Ngayon, si Nanay Jasmin ay nagtatrabaho sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Gumaca samantalang ang kanyang asawang si Tatay Aries ay isang mangingisda na may sariling bangkang de-motor. Ang kanilang dalawang anak ay nasa Grade 7 at Grade 11.

Sa kanilang pagtatapos sa programa, tiwala sila na mas mapapaunlad pa nila ang kanilang pamumuhay dahil sa iba’t ibang leksyon na itinuro ng 4Ps. [with reports from JTSenocin]

TINGNAN: Nakatanggap ng PhP 14.06 milyong halaga ng cash assistance ang mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng Severe Tropical Storm Kristine mula sa mga bayan ng Lemery at Calatagan at lungsod ng Batangas sa magkakahiwalay na distribusyon o payout noong Pebrero 25-26.

Nasa higit 1,800 na mga pamilya na nasiraan ng mga bahay ang nakatanggap ng tulong pinansyal na ito sa ilalim ng Emergency Cash Transfer program ng DSWD.

Ang nasabing programa ay naglalayong bigyan ng suporta ang mga pamilya para sa kanilang mga pangangailangan matapos ang epekto ng kalamidad sa kanilang mga tahanan o kabuhayan. [with reports from JLGBajar / CLDuran / JSEspinosa]

Higit sa cash grants na natatanggap bilang benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), malaki ang pasasalamat ni Bernadith Vergara, residente ng Brgy. Banyaga, Agoncillo, Batangas, sa paghuhubog sa kanya ng programa upang maging mas responsableng magulang.

Sa kanyang pagdalo sa buwanang family development sessions (FDS), ibinahagi ni Bernadith na mas lumalim ang kanyang pang-unawa sa responsibilidad ng mga magulang sa pag-abot ng pangarap ng kanyang mga anak.

Dagdag pa niya, sa mga leksyong katulad nito mas lalo siyang nabibigyan ng inspirasyon na magsikap upang maging mas maayos ang buhay ng kanilang pamilya.
