Development is not just about plans on paper. It is about creating real opportunities and improving lives.
At the Provincial Development Council Meeting, Provincial Administrator Atty. Ryan Jay R. Ramos served as Acting Presiding Officer on my behalf as we reaffirmed our commitment to building a stronger, more resilient, and more progressive Sarangani.
Together with local chief executives, national government agencies, civil society organizations, private sector partners, and other Provincial Development Council members, we discussed key priorities that will shape the provinceโs future. These include strengthening local development plans, updating land use strategies, expanding peopleโs participation in governance, and advancing socio-economic initiatives that respond to the changing needs of our communities.
We likewise reviewed and endorsed critical investment and infrastructure programs aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, improving connectivity, strengthening public services, expanding healthcare support, and creating more economic opportunities for Sarangans.
Every project we prioritize and every investment we make is guided by one goal: to bring meaningful and lasting benefits closer to our people.
Pinaagi sa mas lig-on nga koordinasyon, pagtinabangay, ug hiniusang direksyon, padayon natong tukuron ang Sarangani nga mas malig-on, mas mauswagon, ug mas andam alang sa umaabot.

We convened the Joint Council Meetings of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), reaffirming our shared commitment to keep Sarangani prepared, secure, and resilient amid the challenges facing our communities today.
Through the PDRRMC, we strengthened disaster preparedness by reviewing climate projections, resource requirements, and contingency measures for El Niรฑo and other emerging threats. We also noted the significant reduction in fire incidents and damages, reflecting the effectiveness of our collective efforts to protect lives, livelihoods, and communities.
Under the PPOC, we assessed security operations, peacebuilding initiatives, and public safety interventions to sustain peace and stability across the province. We likewise highlighted the continuing rehabilitation and reintegration of former rebels through Balay Sarangan, as well as the decline in focus crime incidents brought about by strengthened law enforcement and security measures.
Meanwhile, through the PADAC, we evaluated anti-illegal drug operations, Drug-Free Workplace initiatives, and advocacy campaigns to further intensify our fight against illegal drugs. We also advanced measures to strengthen local Anti-Drug Abuse Councils through financial assistance and capacity-building support, ensuring that programs remain responsive to the needs of our communities.
