Emie Alvin Gler, Senior Environmental Management Specialist together with Mr. Rene Punzalan, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, Hon. Brandy Palarion, Municipal Councilor, Mirasol Saludes, Municipal Agriculturist Officer I, and Barangay Officials from Lun Masla, Libi, Upper Suyan, Daan Suyan and Sapu Masla, Malapatan, Saranggani Province conducted benchmarking activities focusing on knowledge exchange, best practices, and addressing challenges. Emphasizing the economic, environmental, and social benefits of sustainable practices to ensure a holistic approach in promoting agroforestry and industrial tree plantation sustainability.

On our first day in Surigao, we paid a courtesy visit to Bislig City Mayor, Hon. Florencio C. Garay with Mr. Napoleon L. Velez, City Information Officer and For. Daniel P. Jabagat, RF, EnP, MPA, City Environmental and Natural Resources Officer at the Mayorโ€™s Conference Room, Poblacion, Bislig City and proceeded to visit the CENRO-Bislig City Arboretum and Rest & Recreation Area, Mechanized and Modernized Forest Nursery, and City Organic Agri-Fishery Tourism Complex.

When we arrived in Camiguin, we went straight to PENRO-DENR at Mambajao, Camiguin for the orientation.

We've learned about successful techniques and methodologies employed in different regions, enabling us to adapt and apply the strategies to our own projects based on local conditions and requirements. A mechanized, modernized nursery utilizes advanced technologies and automation to optimize seedling production and promote sustainability.

MALAPATAN, Sarangani Province (Disyembre 1, 2023) - Padayong ginaduso sa Lokal nga Panggamhanan sa Probinsya sa Sarangani sa pagpanguna ni Governor Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao ang pagpananom og mga punuan sa probinsya pinaagi sa One Million Trees Project alang sa pagprotektar ug pagpalambo sa kondisyon sa kinaiyahan.

Gipangunahan ni Governor Pacquiao kauban si Provincial Tourism Council of Sarangani, Inc. President ug First Lady Jobelle R. Pacquiao ang tree planting activity sa Prk. Sto. Niรฑo, Barangay Lun Masla, Malapatan, Sarangani Province, alas 5 sa buntag, Disyembre 1.

Sa mensahe ni Governor Pacquiao, gihingusgan niini nga ang nahisgutang proyekto ang gimugna aron mahatagan og pagtagad ang mga hagit sa water security.

"We're here to seriously address the water security challenges nga according to studies, according to USAID, by the 2040, we will be experiencing a water stress. Karon okay pa, pero in the coming years kung dili ta mahimong responsible sa atong environment, so, ma-experience nato ang problema sa fresh water supply", matod kang Governor Pacquiao.

Matod usab kang Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Rolando Tuballes nga anaa na sa gibana-banaang 120,000 ka punuan na ang natanom sa Sarangani sukad nga nagsugod ang implementasyon sa One Million Trees Project ilalom sa administrasyon ni Governor Pacquiao ug gilaumang himuon na matod pang regular ang tree planting activities sa mga musunod pang katuigan.

Nagpadayag usab og suporta ang USAID pinaagi kang Safe Water Project Manager Ma. Clarissa E. Rendon.

Malapatan, Sarangani Province- Isip kabahin sa proyektong One Million Trees Project sa Probinsya sa Sarangani, gihimo ang usa ka tree planting activity ganinang sayu sa buntag sa may Prk. Sto. Niรฑo, Barangay Lun Masla Malapatan, Sarangani Province.

Gipangunahan mismo ni Sarangani Governor Rogelio โ€œRuelโ€ Pacquiao ang pagtanom sa mokabat sa dul-an 500 ka mga kahoy sama sa Falcata, Narra, ug lumber.

Ang 1 million trees project ang programa ilalom sa administrasyon ni Governor Ruel Pacquiao nga makatanom og usa ka milyon nga kahoy sa tibook probinsya sulod sa 9 ka tuig aron nga maampingan ang kinaiyahan ug makapangandam sa gikabalak-an nga krisis sa tubig.

Ka-partner sa probinsya ang USAID ug mga concerned agencies.

Anaa usab sa maong aktibidad si Sarangani Provincial Tourism council chair ug First lady Jobelle Pacquiao, Ma. Clarisa Rendon,nag-representa sa USAID, Provincial Administrator Atty. Ryan Jay Ramos, ang labaw sa Provincial ENRO Rolando Tuballes, Malungon Vice-Mayor Jean Delos Santos, mga board members, mga barangay officials, departments heads ug ubang mga ahensya.

Sa nahimong pamahayag ni Governor Pacquiao nga kini ang inisyatibo sa probinsya sa Sarangani aron nga makatabang sa gika-atubang nga problema sa tubig sa umaabot nga panahon.

Pinaagi matud pa sa pagpananom og kahoy, makatabang aron nga mamintar ang tinubdan sa limpyo nga tubig.

Padayon matud pa kini nga mga programa lukop sa Sarangani kon diin, mokabat sa 3,000 hectares nga area ang tanuman og mga kahoy.

Alang usab kang Mr. Rolando Tuballes, ang labaw sa Provincial ENRO nga sa maong programa, nakatanom na sa dul-an 120,000 ka mga punuan sa kahoy ang gitanom sukad nga milingkod si Governor Pacquiao sa pangatungdanan.

Dugang pa niini nga sa tuig 2024, lauman ang regular nga aktibidad ang pagahimoon gawas sa mga mag-uuma nga nagahimo og re-forestation.

MALAPATAN, Sarangani (December 1, 2023) โ€“ Governor Rogelio Pacquiao, together with Provincial Tourism Council President Jobelle Pacquiao, led the tree-planting activity on December 1, in line with the One Million Trees Project of the Provincial Government of Sarangani.

The tree-planting held at Prk. Sto Niรฑo in Barangay Lun Masla, was attended by several provincial and municipal officials, heads of Capitol offices, Capitol employees, and partner agencies

In the activity, 500 saplings of Falcata and Narra trees were planted in the area. Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Rolando Tuballes said there are already more than 120,000 trees planted all over Sarangani province since the start of the One Million Trees project.

The One Million Trees project is among the governor's efforts to intensify the reforestation program of the province that will address issues on erosion and siltation by bringing back the lost forest cover and stabilizing riverbanks to improve water quantity and water quality.
