The DTI Laguna Provincial Office, together with project officers of the Catalyste+ Economic Linkages for Enhanced Value, Trade, and Exports (ELEVaTE) Project, former DTI Region 4-A CALABARZON Regional Director Marilou Q. Toledo and former DTI-NCR Regional Director Marcelina S. Alcantara, conducted onsite visitation and assessment activities in Alaminos and San Pablo City, Laguna, to evaluate the capacity and export readiness of selected small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for possible inclusion in the project.

The team visited Health and Wellness Shop (HAWS) located in Barangay San Agustin, Alaminos, Laguna, and Romalyn’s Ube Halaya located at Lakeside Park Subdivision, San Pablo City, Laguna. During the visit, the project officers discussed the project’s objectives, scope of work, and opportunities for SME participation while conducting initial monitoring and assessment of the enterprises’ operational capabilities, production capacity, and readiness to access international markets.

The Catalyste+ ELEVaTE Project is a capacity-building and market access initiative designed to support approximately 250 SMEs, particularly women-led businesses, by strengthening their export competitiveness, resilience, and participation in global value chains. Through mentorship, market linkage activities, and technical assistance, the project aims to help local enterprises expand into high-potential international markets such as Canada.
