Stronger Minds, Better Lives: Mental Health and Self Management for Youth 🧠💚

Last Saturday, April 11, 2026, the youth of Barangay 2 gathered for a meaningful seminar about mental health and self management. It wasn’t just about listening to lectures but was about having honest conversations, sharing experiences, and learning simple ways to take care of ourselves in the middle of life’s pressures.

Through fun activities, reflections, and real-life discussions, our youth were reminded that stress is normal, emotions are valid, and asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness. This program created a safe space where everyone could pause, breathe, and check in with themselves and with one another.

We are proud of every youth who showed up, participated, and took time to learn and reflect in this. Small steps like these can lead to stronger minds, healthier habits, and a more supportive community.
Thank you to our resource speaker, Ma'am Fe Polloso, RN, RM, for your valuable contribution to help raise awareness to the youth about mental health and self-management. To our Barangay Midwife, Ma'am Gina L. Pague for the unwavering support given. To the barangay officials, SK Officials, to our FI 2 Interns from BU-CSSP Social Work Department, and most especially to the youth who made this activity lively, engaging, and truly meaningful.

Held on 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮–𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, at 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹, 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻, 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆, Albay, the activity was crucial for strengthening understanding of legislative processes and effective preparation of the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (𝗔𝗕𝗬𝗜𝗣).

🎄 PASKUHAN SA SUNA DOS 2025
CHRISTMAS CHEER DANCE COMPETITION
📅 December 23, 2025 | 🕕 6:00 PM

The Barangay Council of Barangay 2 is pleased to announce the conduct of the Christmas Cheer Dance Competition as part of our annual Paskuhan sa Suna Dos 2025 celebration.

This competition aims to promote unity, sportsmanship, creativity, and festive spirit among the puroks of Barangay 2.

I. ELIGIBILITY
• All puroks of Barangay 2 are eligible to participate.
• Only one (1) team per purok is allowed.
• Open for Teen’s age 13 - below
• All performers must be bona fide residents of
Barangay 2.

II. TEAM COMPOSITION
• Minimum of 8 performers
Note: Substitute up to 3–4 performers, and
• These substitutes may come from a neighboring barangay, provided that:
• They will only serve as additional performers, and
• The majority of the team members must still be bona fide residents of Barangay 2.
• Maximum of 15 performers
• One (1) coach/choreographer is allowed and may be a non-resident

III. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
• Routine Duration: 3–5 minutes
• Music Submission: MP3 format, to be submitted 20 minutes before the competition
• Performance must include:
• Cheer/Chant
• Dance Segment
• Basic Stunts and Formations
• Strictly Prohibited: Dangerous stunts such as:
• Unassisted pyramids above two levels
• Tosses without trained spotters

IV. ATTIRE & PROPS
• Costumes must be decent, appropriate, and safe for movement
• Props are allowed
• Strictly Prohibited: Use of fire, liquids, sharp objects, and any hazardous materials

V. JUDGING CRITERIA
• Cheer & Chant – 20%
• Dance Ex*****on & Synchronization – 30%
• Creativity & Choreography – 25%
• Stunts & Formations – 15%
• Overall Impact & Showmanship – 10%

VI. GROUND RULES
• All teams must be at the venue 30 minutes before the competition for attendance and roll call.
• Any form of disrespect, vulgarity, or offensive acts will result in point deduction or disqualification.
• The decision of the organizers and judges shall be final and irrevocable.

• Champion – ₱7,000
• 1st Runner-Up – ₱5,000
• 2nd Runner-Up – ₱3,000
• Best Costume – ₱2,000
• Consolation Prize – ₱1,000

From August 23–25, 2025, we gathered the youth of Pioduran at Panganiran, Pioduran, Albay for a weekend of learning, teamwork, and empowerment. 💛

Through workshops, team-building activities, and shared experiences, our campers discovered new friendships, learned valuable lessons, and strengthened their role as the next generation of leaders. 🙌

We sincerely thank everyone who made this possible — from our energetic campers, supportive parents, SK Council, LYDO, and partners who gave their time and effort. Truly, this camp would not have been a success without your dedication.

This is just the beginning of more meaningful youth activities ahead. Together, let us continue to inspire, empower, and unite the youth! ✨
