As we continue to strengthen the professional growth and development of our educators, it is important that our learning and training initiatives provide not only meaningful experiences but also recognized opportunities for career advancement. One significant step in achieving this is securing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation for our Division Training of Teacher on the Revised Grade 6910 Curriculum (DToT).

Congratulations to the Program Management Team headed by SDS Nympha D. Guemo, ASDS Melchizedek C. Tongco, together with CID Chief Tita V. Agir and SGOD Chief Ernie M. Baranquel for this feat!

The Schools Division Office of Ligao City, under the leadership of Dr. Nympha D. Guemo, Schools Division Superintendent, conducted the Division Writeshop on the Development of Supplementary and Contextualized Early Grades Materials and Other Literacy Resources on May 4-8, 2026 and the Division Workshop on the Refinement and Quality Assurance of the Developed Supplementary and Contextualized Early Grades Materials and Other Literacy Resources for Remediation Activities on May 18-19, 2026.

These activities were aimed at creating ready-to-use grade-appropriate, culturally relevant, and curriculum-aligned supplementary materials that support foundation literacy.

A total of 44 teacher-writers, 11 lead resource evaluators, and six layout artists and illustrators got involved in the development, quality assurance and layouting of the learning materials.

The undertakings were initiated by Maria Grecia Renolayan, Education Program Supervisor in English and Division Reading Coordinator, in collaboration with the Division Learning Resource Management System Team headed by Rommel Peralta, LRMS Supervisor.

2026 ALIVE Advocacy Campaign and Curriculum Orientation for Muslim Community and Stakeholders

In its 5th year of implementation, SDO Ligao City launched the Advocacy Campaign to the community aimed at reintroducing the implementation of Madrasah Education Program to the community.
The activity is part of DepEd’s advocacy of inclusion bringing forth the Muslim cultural appreciation to the learners while in the mainstream.

SDS Nympha D. Guemo extends appreciation to the Muslim community for the support to its implementation. Likewise, three MEP implementing schools through the school heads of LWCES (Binatagan), LWCES (Poblacion) and Paulog ES , learners, asatidz, parents and Ligao Musim Community President Jamil Barao Latif joined the activity.

The activity is capped by the MEP Curriculum orientation by the MEP Focal.

LEADER WHO REGARDS “ARAL PROGRAM” BY HEART

The success of any program implementation lies on consistency and passion. With all the data on literacy and numeracy have been laid and presented, the work must be doubled and passion for raising learners’ ability to comprehend must be urgent.

ARAL classrooms are filled with reading sessions for learners as SDS Nympha D. Guemo takes the lead in letting the learners read their lessons randomly. As the passion of the teacher is felt inside the classroom, the SDS-ARAL teacher meticulously assessed the reading readiness of learners.

With her deep sense of commitment to work and selfless dedication, SDO Ligao City learners are ensured that each and every program is not just implemented but reinforced and strengthened under her watch.

LOOK: SDO Ligao City gears up for the K to 10 Curriculum through the Division Staff Orientation on the conduct of the Division Training of Teachers on the Revised Grades 6, 9 and 10 Curriculum.

Core, Regional, Division Trainers and identified class managers gather to prepare 6,9,10 classes for SY 2026-2027 through the training package intended for the three grade levels.. Indeed, the trainers shall provide the rudiments of the training to ensure that the Division Training shall be conducted smoothly and effectively comes June 2-5, 2026.

SDS Nympha D. Guemo points the importance of readiness and commitment in the success of the activity. She added that the identified teaching and non -teaching personnel to man the activities shall be regarded as privilege since most of them are handpicked based on competence.

The two-day activity is pursuant to Division Memorandum 00180, s. 2026 in conjunction with the higher offices’ issuances as basis.
