The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office proudly joins the celebration of "National Child Development Workers Week 2026" with the theme:

“Mga Child Development Workers, Haligi ng Maagang Edukasyon, Gabay sa Matatag na Kinabukasan ng Kabataan.”

This celebration honors the dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions of our Child Development Workers (CDWs), who serve as the cornerstone of early childhood care and education in our municipality. Through their unwavering passion and service, they help nurture young learners and lay the foundation for a brighter and more promising future for every child.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Mayor Don Ricthie P. Buates for his steadfast support of programs and services that promote the welfare and development of children and families. We also recognize the leadership and guidance of Ms. Marilou Abian, MSWDO, Ms. Myrna Jubac, GAD Focal Person, and Ms. Concepcion Datoy, DCO, for their dedication and commitment to strengthening programs that empower children, families, and communities.

As part of our commitment to promoting child welfare and strengthening family relationships, our dedicated Child Development Workers (CDWs) successfully conducted a Parent Effectiveness Service (PES) Seminar for parents and guardians in the community.

The activity focused on enhancing parenting knowledge and skills, fostering positive family relationships, and emphasizing the vital role of parents in the holistic development of children.

We sincerely thanked Mayor Don Ritchie Buates for the continued support , Ma'am Marilou Abian , MSWDO for the guidance and Ma'am Concepcion Datoy our DCO. We also commend our Child Development Workers for their unwavering dedication in empowering families and nurturing a supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Alburquerque informs the public that Operation Smile Philippines – Cebu Comprehensive Cleft Care Center of Excellence will be conducting FREE comprehensive cleft care services for individuals with cleft lip and/or cleft palate (BUNGI/NGONGO).

The program includes the following services:
• Surgery
• Dental Care
• Speech Therapy
• Nutrition Support
• Psychosocial Services
All related expenses such as medical care, transportation, meals, and accommodation for the patient and one guardian will be shouldered by Operation Smile Philippines.

📍 Screening Schedule:
• June 7, 2026 – Ubay, Bohol
• June 8, 2026 – Tagbilaran City

➡️ Residents of Alburquerque will be scheduled for screening on June 8, 2026.

👥 Qualified Beneficiaries:
• Children and adults with cleft lip and/or cleft palate
• Those who are already operated or not yet operated

On April 17, 2026, the Municipality of Alburquerque successfully held the Culmination of the Solo Parent Celebration,with the theme “Hindi Ka Nag-Iisa sa Iyong Pag-Iisa: Yakap at Kalinga para sa Solo Parent” highlighting the strength, resilience, and valuable contributions of solo parents in our community.
The activity also included the distribution of cash subsidy for the 1st quarter, facilitated by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office (MTO) staff, in support of our solo parent beneficiaries.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Don Ritchie P. Buates for his unwavering support. To our SB Committee Chair on Social Welfare Hon. Jacqueline A.
