At approximately 9:46 PM, personnel of the Alegria Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PMAJ JAY R S PALCON, Chief of Police, conducted a proactive nighttime foot patrol within the Municipality of Alegria, Cebu.

This activity forms part of the station’s continuous efforts to strengthen police visibility, prevent criminality, and ensure the safety and security of the community. Officers conducted area monitoring, engaged with residents, and provided timely safety reminders to promote awareness and vigilance.

Alegria MPS remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining peace and order while fostering strong partnerships with the community.

In line with the continuous efforts to maintain peace and order, personnel of the Alegria Municipal Police Station (MPS) successfully conducted an operation that led to the arrest of three (3) individuals in Brgy. Madridejos, Alegria, Cebu on June 6, 2026 at around 7:15 AM.

The individuals were caught in the act engaging in illegal gambling activity locally known as “tong-its.” During the operation, authorities were able to confiscate one (1) set of playing cards and cash amounting to Php 100.00 in different denominations believed to be used in the said illegal activity.

Further inspection also resulted in the recovery of one (1) heat-sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, leading to an additional violation under Section 11 of RA 9165.

Appropriate charges for violation of PD 1602 (Illegal Gambling) and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the arrested individuals.

The Alegria MPS assures the public of its unwavering commitment to intensify operations against all forms of illegal activities and calls on the community to remain vigilant and cooperative in reporting suspicious activities.

In line with its commitment to maintaining peace and order, personnel of the Alegria Municipal Police Station, led by PMAJ JAY R SOTO PALCON, conducted enhanced mobile patrol operations across the municipality at around 7:00 PM on June 5, 2026.

The patrol teams strategically roamed key areas including main thoroughfares, residential communities, and business establishments to prevent criminal incidents, ensure public safety, and promptly address any concerns within the community. The activity also highlighted the importance of police visibility as a deterrent to unlawful acts.

Alegria MPS continues to strengthen its partnership with the community by promoting vigilance, cooperation, and mutual trust. Through these sustained efforts, we reaffirm our dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of every Alegriahanon.

In line with its commitment to ensure public safety, personnel of the Alegria Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PMAJ JAY R S PALCON, Chief of Police, conducted a continuous nighttime foot patrol at around 10:30 PM within the Municipality of Alegria, Cebu.

The operation focused on increasing police visibility, preventing potential criminal activities, and maintaining peace and order in the community. Police officers actively engaged with residents, shared safety tips, and closely observed key areas to ensure a secure environment for all.
