The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) โ Pangasinan, in partnership with CSI Lucao and Magic Calasiao, has officially launched the Balik-Eskwela Diskwento Caravan: โPresyong Panalo para sa Mamimiling Pilipinoโ school supplies edition. This initiative aims to support Filipino families, especially parents and students, by providing access to affordable and discounted school supplies as preparations for the forthcoming school year begin. It also helps ease the financial burden of back-to-school expenses by bringing school items closer to consumers.
As part of the activity, DTI Pangasinan also conducted price and supply monitoring of various school supplies to ensure fair pricing and availability. Based on the monitoring results, prices of school items are still within, and in some cases even lower than, the 2026 DTI Price Guide, assuring consumers that they are getting reasonable prices. The agency continues to remind the public to be vigilant and informed when purchasing school essentials, especially during peak season when demand is high.
With the expected start of classes on June 8, consumers are encouraged to start purchasing school supplies early to avoid the rush and ensure availability of needed items. The Diskwento Caravan also serves as an opportunity for consumers to save while securing quality school materials, reinforcing DTIโs commitment to consumer protection and fair-trade practices in Pangasinan.
