Thursday, November 20, 2025 was a heartwarming day at the Angeles City Library as representatives from SM City Clark visited to personally turn over their generous book donation. The Angeles City Library is among the selected public libraries nationwide chosen as beneficiaries of the SM Cares Foundation’s Book Donation Drive—an initiative that continues to inspire a culture of reading and community support.

Sir Dean and Miss Mica from SM City Clark’s Marketing and Operations Department respectively, arrived with more than a thousand volumes of pre-loved books, including general references, leisure reading materials, and textbooks. Their visit filled the library not just with boxes of books, but with genuine smiles, shared purpose, and a renewed sense of partnership for learning.

In gratitude, the Angeles City Library—together with the Angeles City Local Government—presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the SM Cares Foundation, acknowledging their meaningful contribution to the city’s ongoing efforts to promote literacy and lifelong learning.

The moment captured in the photos reflects the spirit of community: organizations, individuals and the government coming together to support education, empower readers, and make knowledge more accessible to Angeleños of all ages.

It is with deep sorrow that we at the 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 join the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀 in mourning the passing of our beloved former 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳, Ma'am 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗻.

Ma’am Beth will always be remembered for her unwavering dedication, and motherly guidance in public service. She touched many lives with her kindness, wisdom, and generosity of spirit. Her legacy as a committed public servant and a nurturing presence will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, especially to her eldest daughter 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗻, who had once been part of our library family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief. 🌟 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢 2025! 🌟

This morning, the 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 attended the Holy Mass at the 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 - 𝗣𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗹 for the second day of the 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗱𝘂𝘂𝗺 honoring the 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀 🙏.

We were also joined by our friends from the 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 (OIC), 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 (Deputy Officer), and Miss Erma Regonaos- Manalo, our City Librarian and Mr. 𝗝𝘂𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇 (Supervising Administrative Officer).

✨ Truly, a beautiful time of prayer, unity, and tradition! ✨

☁️ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆! 🌈📚

The past week and today may have been a long stretch of gloomy days ☁️, but you wouldn’t feel that inside the City Library! Thanks to these little angels who brought us sunshine, laughter, and so much fun along the way. 🌞💛

👧🧒 Children from the Child Development Centers of 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀, 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 - 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲, together with their teachers — 𝘈𝘮𝘺 𝘙𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘤, 𝘑𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘪 𝘋𝘦 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘰 — plus their 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, dropped by and enjoyed our 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 at 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆!

🎶 Singing, Dancing & Film Viewing

The kids had an absolute blast! Tita Jean guided them with a quick library tour. Tito Ariel wowed them with an interactive storytelling session, while Tita Rochelle guided them through a fun art activity. Of course, no visit would be complete without singing, dancing, and film viewing! 🎶🎬

Each child proudly brought home the art pieces they created, and some even received small tokens from the library. One lucky class also enjoyed a simple snack from of our library friends 𝘛𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘕𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘰. 🍪💙

It was a jam-packed morning of learning, creativity, and pure joy — so much fun that time just flew by! But Tita Erma 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 assured the kids (and parents!) that they are always welcome to come back and experience more exciting activities and adventures at the City Library. 🥰📚

From the road to the digital world 🌍🚍💻 — PASADA members joined us today for the 3rd leg of the City Library x DICT 2025 Basic Computer Skills Training.

The third installment of the City Library x DICT 2025 Basic Computer Skills Training Series was successfully held yesterday. For this quarter, members of the transport sector, particularly from PASADA, actively participated in the workshop.

We extend our special thanks to PASADA President Toti for positively responding to our invitation, and to the PASADA members themselves for their courage and commitment in joining this training. Their initiative to embrace new learning opportunities is commendable and will undoubtedly create a positive impact on their daily activities.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our invaluable partners: the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for their consistent support, and the City College of Angeles (CCA) – Institute of Computing Studies and Library Information Science, led by Dean Maika Garbes, for generously providing highly qualified resource speakers for every workshop.

We especially acknowledge this session’s excellent resource persons, Sir Jul Newton Legaspi and Sir Marco; our ever-reliable DICT–Tech4Ed Center Manager, Jerome Enriquez; and the dedicated City Library team headed by Ms. Erma Regonaos- Manalo, City Librarian, together with Mr. Jun Gopez, Supervising Administrative Officer, Ms. Marian Narciso, Librarian II, and all staff members, whose shared commitment and teamwork made this activity possible.

Most importantly, we express our profound gratitude to our beloved City Mayor, Hon. Carmelo "Jon" Lazatin II, and Ma’am Jenneth Sarmiento, Executive Assistant V, for their unwavering support and invaluable inspiration in continuously uplifting the quality of our public service.
